I guess this one and the winking girl are both about the colored cover page Oda dedicates to the Elbaf Arc of One Piece being such a big success.
Think I will never truly understand how idols are such a big thing in Japan…

As far as I'm concerned, I'm respecting the culture by not participating it - I don't even think there's much to understand, I find it creepy and wrong.
There are cultures that actually condone slavery, I don't believe things just become acceptable just because it's protected by the concept of culture.

It's like when it came out that Pudding was 14 and Sanji was actually going to marry her, that doesn't go down well in the west and it was changed to 16 to make it more acceptable? Not sure if this was why, or Oda genuinely made a typo.
Do I think that dynamic is fine? Hell no, but by not participating in that culture, that's as far as my respect for the culture can be expressed.

I saw something similar where a South Korean weather broadcaster got shamed and humiliated for coming out with having a relationship. Her fans were mostly males of course. She was forced to apologise by her company on public TV or something of that nature. This is something common there from the little exposure I've had to this information, but I may be wrong.
Fair, maybe it's the culture, but it is creepy, and unhealthy that any culture would allow men to obsess over women in an unhealthy Para social manner, and capitalise on it to make profit. It's also unfair to the women.
The idol worship thing, I'm not a fan of - I think things like that will cultivate the worst sort of men that society doesn't need.

That said, I still finding it F*&KING disgusting that Oda allowed people to actually objectify Jewellery Bonney... and he also did too... she's wearing barely decent clothing.... turns out she's 12 years old. Somethings are just despicable imo, he could have kept her backstory and left her as an adult.

Well I see your point and I didn‘t mean to be overly judgy. My point was it doesn’t sit well with me. Naturally it‘s not only a matter of culture and where you live. The individual moral compass starkly depends on and individual‘s social, educational and economical standing / background as well. I daresay average Japanese families are not threatened by poverty to the extent of being forced to send their female family members into prostitution in order for the family to cover their daily cost of living.

On a different note I admit that I enjoy One Piece for its fantastic art and story while I still have issues with the way genders (especially the female gender) are portrayed by Oda. And I‘m convinced that the manga‘s success especially in Japan is significantly increased for Oda highly sexualizing and objectifying his female characters for the sake of entertainment. And this issue isn‘t sitting well with. And that‘s basically the same issue I‘m having with the idol cult.

Honestly, wish I could answer. It's been so inconsistent lately that I'm not even sure if they know what's going on. Part of me thinks they relish in knowing that fans are foaming at the mouth in anticipation for spoilers, knowing full well they are the only ones who can provide it to us.

I do wonder if these hints also play a role in generating income and fair play, make your twitter dollars.

Yeah I recall Redon made a post explaining why they release spoilers in this way, but I'd be lying if I said any of that information was retained

Regarding the Yami Yami no Mi.
One thing that is very evident is Yami means Darkness.
Darkness is pretty much the worst name for this fruit for a reason... it's actually a Black hole.

Darkness does not suck in light, nor does it exert a gravitational pull.... so maybe it has a different name that would actually call it a Black hole? Or there is some sort of deity that has the power of a black hole like Nika (being rubber), and maybe it also gives the use ability to have 2 DFs.

I personally think his ability to take in 2 DFs is he's probably got 2 hearts, or he's somehow 2 people physically (not mentally) in 1 body. Luffy also referred to him as "they" implying if taken literally, he's calling him 2 people at least.

It's like reaction videos, but worse. I'm not sure if there's monetization involved (Redon only has about 100k followers). Non-Japanese manga spoiler seekers is a fairly niche target audience and your audience by default is already resorting to (mostly) obtaining their content through non-paid routes, so the monetization features like subscriptions probably aren’t utilized.

At this point I think they just do it because they like to.
