Seeing as how 7 warlords so far have gotten bounties over 1 billion, possibly to raise the urgency of capturing them, it might lead into Kuma, Moria, and Weevil getting bounties over a billion as well. I’m sure the same would also apply to Doflamingo if he wasn’t in prison right now.

What would Luffy even do if he were to hear about this? I know he likes Coby but he is a marine. They have the resources to deal with it by themselves. And that's assuming Coby and Blackbeard aren't working together or something.

All that prob matters to them is that they’re warlords, and that the marines wouldn’t want anyone associating with them regardless, so 1 billion+ to all of them for that.

Narratively: If Luffy was going to Sphinx Island next, what was the point of Marco needing to take a ride with the Red Hair Pirates? Wouldn't it have been more economic for Marco to go with the Strawhats so he could bond with them more before whatever conflict is going to be there? Wouldn't Marco be entirely aware if the log pose went from Wano to Sphinx Island since he was a Whitebeard Pirate who's been to Wano?

I wouldn't doubt it if this happened just because of how clunky Oda's structure has been lately, but it just doesn't make sense to go there next. Too little time, too many things to do. Frankly I want another Long Ring Long Land-esque story that's just a team-building side-quest before the next big arc, but I doubt we'll get it. If they're not somehow at Elbaf or some other long-awaited location next, I'll be fairly surprised. Then again, this last chapter was pretty surprising so who knows.

Exactly my opinion, I would think it extremely clumsy to take the SHs to Sphinx Island and to have Marco go his separate way just to show some Shanks interaction again. And as you said, I wouldn’t put it past Oda…

My personal dream is another remote location mostly cut from worldly affairs like Skypeia, and a SH only adventure…
I know that with OP supposedly going into its final arc there won’t be time for much adventuring, but one can hope.

What if the final arc was: a giant adventure on GL’s most dangerous island, and then a race for the OP against BB and the Marines? I would love that

Actually, Marco left before the entire thing was decided.

He doesn't know where Luffy and co are going.

The "draw" to decide the routes between captains happened only after Marco left. It happened just some time before they actually left.
While Marco and Yamato probably had the convo with SHs some days earlier.
