The problem with Aokiji being undercover is that it’s sooo obvious. I mean every marine defector thus far has been an undercover. It’s boring.
I would love for Aokiji to have become a pirate for his own purposes.

Maybe he doesn’t want to be associated with the marines but still want to kill BB when he gets the opportunity.

Or maybe he thinks joining with BB will help him accomplish some goal ha has for himself.

Hell, maybe he even really believes BB is a worthy captain, who knows. We’re all hating on BB but he’s cool as hell. Sure, he’s kinda villainous but he’s a fascinating character that doesn’t fit the « absolute evil » or « plain monster » pattern that the enemies (Caesar, Doffy, BM, Kaido) in the New World have had so far.

Hell, he’s even shown to be pretty human. He’s sometimes cowardly (« pops, don’t kill me »), clumsy, reckless, getting hit, etc…. Every time he appears he’s in some sort of difficult situation. And he got to where he’s at by taking huge chances and being a badass pirate !

There was a Redon hint dropped on Friday (believe it hahahah) that was an angry Luffy gif. As to what it means, we’ll know tomorrow-ish I guess

Aokiji "shoosh"ing Coby - perhaps Coby was brought to Blackbeard's base, and Aokiji, possibly being a Marine spy of the Blackbeard Pirates, means that he's going to try and help Coby but encourage him to act like nothing is going on?

Really hope we find out who the 10th Titanic Captain is.

Luffy won't trust the rumors about Sabo and he would react in a similar way to Koala.

Dunno about that. Remember when he woke up on Whiskey Peak and immediately attacked Zoro? Lol.

Zoro DID slice up the people there, but the context was completely missing before Luffy decided to attack.

It imho makes less sense that Kuzan still works for the Marines:

1. We met him as a constantly sleepy loner that bicycles around aimlessly. He attacks the Strawhats, but then let's them go for some reason.
2. Next we learn that he gave Spandam out of all people a Golden Den Den Mushi, to make sure Robin is captured.
3. In a flashback, we learn he killed fellow Marine Vice Admiral Jaguar D. Saul.
4. After Enies Lobby, he confronts Robin, citing that Saul was his friend. Kuzan is a man suffering from depression, and all of his actions are determined by that. He's blue.

Now the Marines are led by the one person he detests and to whom he lost in a pretty serious fight costing him a limb going by the Film Z designs...

The Marines have caused this guy nothing but pain, and it makes more sense he joined Blackbeard on his own, probably to find out what the Void Century is about, then stop Blackbeard.

It’s weird, because I recall Sakazuki talking to the Elders in private over Kuzan having left the Marines. Would be weird for them to talk of him like that if he really was undercover, unless one of them is lying to the other about it.

Great post. I only want to add that BB Pirates may be a great crew to get opportunities to beat down outlaws compared to historical Yonko that balanced each other and controlled their own territories. Being a Yonko hunting DF organization probably means travelling further and killing outlaws that would have been incorporated under Yonko control had Big Mom, Kaido or Shanks been involved.

I only want to add that BB Pirates may be a great crew to get opportunities to beat down outlaws compared to historical Yonko that balanced each other and controlled their own territories. Being a Yonko hunting DF organization probably means travelling further and killing outlaws that would have been incorporated under Yonko control had Big Mom, Kaido or Shanks been involved.

Exactly, maybe Aokiji joined to pursue his own concept of justice…As to wether he’ll stick with BB until the end, I have no idea. But I would love him as an opponent for one of the top 4 SHs. I mean, this time around, no one would argue or downplay the feat lol

About the Redon friends spoilers. On that episode Ross talks about getting stuff from the Hotel because you can take everything because you paid it un the room. (That was very normal in the 90's early 2000 if you guys old enough like me, but TV shows took them some exaggeration about the situations). The sarcasm is practically because iirc Joey or Chandler tell him that he can't take the TV remote but you could take the batteries
