Now that's ominous. Maybe it has to do with that explorer's warning about staying in Elbaf too long.

I want to believe in the gigantification idea that's been fluttering around for a while now because 1) it'd just be a wildly Oda thing to do and 2) it'd FINALLY pay off some of the earlier lore about Caesar's contract under Big Mom to artificially induce gigantification. Maybe her acquiring Elbaf as an ally would've expedited that dream of hers? That said it also just doesn't make sense at all from a bigger perspective- it shouldn't be some hidden mystery of Elbaf, we know the place has had plenty of humans stay there for extended periods (like Caramel and the orphans). The WG and pirates would definitely know, but then again it wouldn't be the first time I'd assume the WG is more knowledgeable and competent than reality.

Damn, dude. This arc needs Big Mom to show up inversely-proportionate to how Wano did NOT need her to show up.

Why? Vegapunk already read all the books and even said he didn’t know much from all that. Saul pretty much doesn’t know any more than Vegapunk already did.

Vegapunk made his message specifically to inform the people about imminent danger and how it's happening. There's no way Vegapunk didn't know way more than that about history, but exposition dumping about the Void Century would've gone against his attempt at being impartial. And would've been unnecessarily distracting to what he carefully made his speech out to be.

Especially considering the mystery of the Ancient Kingdom seems to be going in a direction where it's unclear who the "good guys" and "bad guys" were.

Dropping the name would be good enough for me already, but judging by the hints, we should get more this chapter.
I’m also wondering about the crying Franky hint. Could be news about someone from Franky’s past / family.
But it could also be Franky still reacting to Robin, Saul and Ohara or another Strawhat‘s situation moving him (looking at you Brook).
I also can see it having something to do with the silhoutte guy.

Wouldn't put it passed out Oda to have someone literally named Valkyrie.
But I'm hoping Oda would have them a division or organization of since they like that mythology and they'd fit right into the one piece world along with the shieldmaidens.
