Yes, bring it on Oda!
Edit: I hope it‘s sctually about Zoro and Sanji and not just Scopper hype.

Actually, might not be Gaban, since the Crocus visitor is blonde, while Gaban has black hair.

Unless you want to doubt manga examples, yes.
Maybe he uses some blonde dye in order to look more youthfull (I expect his natural colour to be white/ gray after all these years). Don‘t forget his wife does age significantly slower than him.

This has been brought up many times before I’m sure. But those colors in colored chapters arent always official. And also it could have been a wig too.
I don't think the cover page is a color error either. Wano hat guy's hair is still shown lighter while Luffy's hair is plainly shown black. So yeah, prob not Gaban. lol

Let‘s talk this one through once the full summary is out! This might be gray hair as well!

So since you‘re calling him not being Scopper.
What‘s your guess on the guy‘s identity?

No idea. I just try to use manga examples as best I can instead of just seeing what I want to see.

The real answer is nobody beats the Straw Hat Crew due to plot.

The more logical answer is that Blackbeard has gravity to bring his opponents to him, and nullify their ability. It seems to not work to the extent sea-stone does (where sea-stone weakens them beyond power nullification).

Kuzan fought Akainu for 10 days straight and while he ended up losing, he isn't weak. I don't really see Kuzan being a good match up for any of the SHP, so I'm thinking either Luffy defeats him as a prerequisite to the arc where Blackbeard is ultimately defeated, or Kuzan isn't involved in the final showdown at all.

Seems like the match ups will be:
Luffy vs Blackbeard
Zoro vs Shiryuu
Brook vs Lafitte
Jinbe vs Burgess
Chopper vs Doc Q
Usopp vs Van Auger
Nami vs Catarina Devon
Robin vs Avalo
Franky vs San Juan Wolf
Sanji vs ??

Maybe Sanji could fight Kuzan, but I feel like that battle is way more personal for Luffy than it would be for Sanji seeing as how Kuzan spared Luffy, but captured Garp. Kuzan was enough to scare the hell out of the entire Black Beard Crew and have Blackbeard apologizing for their transgressions.
To me some of these matchup don't make sense and your missing Vasco Shot from the Blackbeard Pirates. No way Brook vs Laffitte is matchup and It's gonna be Sanji vs Laffitte. Also I just don't see Nami and Robin matchup being correct either. Also it will most likely be Yamato or Law vs Kuzan.

Lol, alright, now I see your point. But in my case you’re wrong. It‘s not that I‘m so eager for him to be Scopper. It‘s more of an Occam‘s Razor approch to me.

1) Colored manga/anime is not supervised by Oda, color scheme might differ from what Oda eventually sets for. Greatest example bring Robins "whitewashing" in the anime
2) Haircolor can change. Maybe it's gone dark gray with age. Or dyed blonde for youthful appearance. The hell, it might even be a wig or ornamental part of the hat

Redon hints are so heavily pointing towards Scopper, that if it's something else, then he is just trolling us at this point.

Does that mean Sunbell will show up because Jinbe is a top-tier fighter for Luffy as well
No. Sunbell was even more background than Scopper. I'm pretty sure he didn't even have a speech bubble. Scopper had like.. two?

And that’s totally fair.

I think I’ll step back for a moment and admit that I tend to be pretty vigilant about evidence and examples like with One Piece since I constantly have met with people elsewhere who are always dismissive of evidence simply for not lining up with their own views and wants, no matter what. That’s not a commentary on you by the way, but an explanation for why I seem so much of a stickler to this sort of thing.

I feel that it’s better to be wrong based on available examples than assumptions and personal wants. Because otherwise that falls into a territory of petty bias and willful ignorance of denying everything that doesn’t line up with my own views and results in more needles arguing. Thankfully, I’ve never really seen that in Mangahelpers, so I feel more comfortable in explaining this to those willing to listen.

Not sure about that either since Robin was shown with plain skin on manga covers. The anime even gave her blue eyes, even though she has brown eyes in the manga.

How about prince Grus from digitally colored manga do you see the colors correct?

Isn't the Gaban pic from the anime though and not an official cover page? This seems like how Marco was introduced with black hair in the anime but later shown as blond once Oda made it official. Plus some color schemes in the manga early on are not set until Oda decides what to do with a character too.

That's the whole thing though. Maybe you misunderstood something I said? These covers came after the character was in the anime. So anime team decided on the dark Robin. While that was not in Odas vision.

July 4, 2001 was the first Oda colored Robin in vol 19 cover. Months before on April 29, 2001 was episode 67, first appearance in the anime. Thus dark anime Robin was not the same as Odas coloring in the manga.

So that is the prime example, that color schemes from not Oda done work (anime, color manga) may not be final.

In this case I feel it's you who desperately buts their own wishes before evidence. You don't really have any solid ones against Gaban. While for Gaban we have the fact that the character was chummy with ex-Roger Pirate (Crocus), hairshape is similar, and all the Redon hints ("Finally", two axes, Kamesennin as comparison to Sanjis role in the Pirate King trio)

Sure, could be still wrong and redon is messing with us, but as said, Occams Razor.

This was back in a time before the anime staff consulted with Oda about the color schemes of certain characters, hence why Marco turned out the way he did. Whatever the anime staff did or didn't do first compared to Oda is irrelevant.

The anime team decided on this Marco, so should this Marco have been part of Oda's vision too? lol:

What? I don't understand what you are trying to say anymore? You are just providing more proof to my (and others) point, that color schemes may change later in the series.

Also I don't like this hostility. And I ha e a feeling you completely misread or misunderstood my writings. Or something was unclear on my half.

I even went thorough the trouble of looking for dates to proof, that coloring changes may happen in this series for various reasons. And you are shitting on me for some reason?

Dude, take a nap.
