And WorstGenHQ:
I'm actually curious to see if Oda will have Luffy brutally defeat a beautiful woman like Gunko, because he hasn't really had Luffy do that:

Hancock - Fell in love with Luffy
Monet - Didn't defeat her
Smothie - Didn't defeat her despite defeating Sweet Commanders Cracker and Katakuri
Ulti - Headbutted, but was interrupted by Yamato

Nah, I think Luffy won’t beat her but rather drive Imu‘s mind (and whatever else currently resides there) out of her body. I think she‘s just another “princess“ locked into a tower that needs saving.

Wouldn't exactly be a promising look for Luffy to drive Imu out by defeating them before the final arc though.

I doubt Imu is in their prime form when remotely controlling Gunko. I would imagine this is a small amount of their power comparatively. So for Luffy to defeat this version of Imu wouldn't count for a proper victory.

I'm totally with you..actually i think that this will be some type of freeza x goku experience but with imu using like 10% of his power and showing to all that the king of the world with 10% of power is stronger than most of younkous - it's the only explanation for WHY in 800 years noone has ever reached the pinnacle of the world the Empty Throne..

Exactly. This arc will show a brief amount of Imu's power and also Luffy starting to attain the level of Haki that Joyboy had sealed in Emeth.

At the most Luffy will cancel out Imu's remote control session using his Haki and fruit, at the least we will see why Nika is feared by Imu.

This looks like a Luffy Haki blast, doesn't it? At the very least, conqueror's coming out.

Regarding what's about to happen to the tied up Strawhats, the good thing about having more mooks, is that they'll get something to do. The bad thing is these mooks are so large that it's hard to fathom.
At the moment, really only Brook has, in my opinion, options he can exercise due to the soul attack vector and emotional connection
Chopper, meanwhile, is going to be useful with Gaban.

Jinbe with fishman karate maybe can get some unique interactions.

Nami and Usopp would have to go straight into combo moves and maybe turn Brook into a lightning javelin.

Robin's worst matchup would be demon giants like these, so she has to go to karate for some weird water-in-the-body effect

Franky's already defeated 1 nightmare beast with a blast of a laser, which already puts him above the effectiveness of the giants. Not sure if he would be good against the boosted ones

Robin shined quite a bit already in standing up to Sommers, so that already 1.
Robin really did do her best. The clone maneuver was inspired. Sommers on the other hand just has a lot of versatility with his fruit.
The best thing that Robin showed was that Sommers does not have high level defences, like the boar gorosei.

I will give you that. Robin did a good job, but usopp, nami, and chopper have been useless since Fishman island

Usopp had his time in Dressrosa, he changed the tides of that battle. Chopper also had a huge support role in Wano. Nami hasn't shone as bright as those 2.

Brad, Im responding to you, but my message is a bit general. These are just some thoughts I have.

Yeah. It's a little bit tricky because of the way that Oda presents One Piece VS the way Luffy (and Oda) see the crew.
So, Nami, for example, is technically the most important, on account of being the navigator. Like, in a regular story, her importance would be highlighted often. One of the big issues though, is that Oda made navigation in the New World a joke in practice. For example, when you have Bartolomeo crew's being able to survive by calling grandma, you severely diminish new world navigation. Couple that with people like Doflamingo being able to waltz around in the sky, or Bepo realistically being able to escape with his injured captain, the New World's implicit peril is reduced.
With Nami, it takes the theoretical and implicit contribution she has down.
Then when you come into combat, you need to look for the utility roles she has. In Punk Hazard, she was identified as the wind producer. Which was cool. But then you see Franky taking on two Doflamingo pirates by himself while invalidating Caesar's gas and you end up with him overshadowing people, which is a consistent trend with him.
And then, Oda's committed to keeping Nami's power level under control for some reason.

Chopper is an interesting case, where his strategic contributions were amplified. But because One Piece is a battle shonen, people will devalue strategic contributions, which causes situations where like you Brad have to remind everyone that Chopper saved an entire army and countered Queen, who was an army killer.
If this were a fantasy novel or like, an army-based LitRPG, that sort of contribution would have been amplified.

And then, fundamentally there's Luffy. And Luffy is the reason things are like this. Luffy value system is role-based. Luffy rarely ever questions Nami when they're in the thick of the actual travel, (after a destination has been picked). However, Luffy will tell Nami to shut up if she infringes on the captain's role, like in Whole Cake island.

When you look at it from the role perspective, Luffy doesn't expect the navigator to be combat-capable. Conversely, as Captain, he expects to be able to protect everyone. If he can't do that, he crumbles or loses composure. When Kaido blasts the strawhats, Luffy lost composure again. And honestly, that was a failure on his part.
Zoro follows Luffy's lead, and we've seen the acceptance of weakness when he yells at enemies for picking on the "weak ones."
Zoro is also the only person that actually can infringe on the captain's role, and that's because Luffy has implicitly given Zoro that authority. Which then is bolstered by enemies respecting Zoro as Luffy's number 2, like with Lucci. (I would say Jinbe actually could advise Luffy if he tried.)

The thing that happens at the timeskip's onset isn't Luffy demanding that the crew steps up. He decides to step up so that the crew can be protected and the adventure can continue.
What the crew does in return is that they try to step up on their own accord so that Luffy's burden can ease. The problem here though, is that they're all self-directed because Luffy doesn't enforce their training.

And from this basis, is where all other things unravel.
Zoro yells at Luffy to take things seriously during combat, but he doesn't direct that to someone like Usopp, because its accepted that Usopp is "weak."
Robin's declaration of Zoro and Sanji being Luffy's wing may also be an acknowledgment of the fact that those two are the ones that can actually keep up with Luffy's growth rate, and its those two who alleviate Luffy's burdens the most, generally speaking, during combat.

So, what we end up with is situations like these, where we have a clear disparity between the bottoms and tops. And then, Luffy will never berate the crew for being weak. He is sooner to criticize himself for being unable to protect them, as opposed to criticize them for being weak the way fans will.

And then there's Jinbe. There are some indications to me that Oda knows that what he's doing is sketchy. But removing Jinbe from the equation would have been too aggressive and would have made what he did more obvious. That's my sense on it.

Now I know you're willfully ignoring things. Nevermind Usopp's Observation Haki moment at Dressrosa, but Nami also electrocuted Ulti and Chopper slapped Queen.

But I guess that's not enough for you. You're prob letting that nonsense weakling trio slander get to you. Well I advise that you don't, otherwise you set yourself up for disappointment, and that's a losing game.

Isn't Loki a pretty big candidate to fall under the Domi Reversi spell?

As we know it now, yes. But he claims to be a Sun God, and we know Haki cancels out DF ability. I assume this will be a factor in him defying Imu and fighting alongside Luffy.

Guess it‘s Gaban seeing himself as Roger‘s second. Of course it might be about Sanji but I‘m leaning towards Gaban.

Well, been thinking about this one as well. I currently like the theory of Domi Reversi being ultimately the reason behind Harald‘s death and the 100 giants that died by his side. I figure that Loki has a unique trait (maybe Haki) maybe something else that made him immune to Imu‘s “spell“. Also I‘ve been wondering if the sword stuck in Jarul‘s head was a trick used by Loki (a bit like Momonga blocking the Mero Mero powers with pain) to prevent Domi Reversi from affecting the former.

Ok here are some ideas:
-Gillingham‘s true form or another hybrid-form of his
-Imu‘s doing
-Franky Centaurus 2.0
-Cover story Speed, but I don’t think that‘s worth a hint at this point

The fact that you had to point out a moment from Dressrosa that was over 400 chapter ago only strengthens my argument and you bringing up 1 moment each for nami and chopper is wild. Chopper slapped queen
