I would argue all pirates are luffy's rivals AND enemies. Even shanks. The only difference between shanks and BB in this regard is that luffy would have a friendly rivalry with shanks while with BB it'd be more like outright animosity. And that if luffy doesn't take issue with yassop exploding barto's ship.

In case the latest hint is truly about Silver Axe I daresay that we are getting more Rocks flashbacks. That said I wonder if the hint about the young woman refers to Rocks‘ wife or young Shakky.

Should be a chapter about what Rocks Pirates did after they raised their official pirate flag in Beehive. My guess is that flashback includes a quick passage about Roger being defeated by Rocks and Silver Axe Gaban getting his Mounter Eater title.

It would be awesome if Rocks and Roger Pirates fight in a Davy Back fight and Roger lost to Xebec in a 1 to 1 captain fight bringing Roger Pirates close to flag capture but Gaban stepped in for last game and saved the whole Roger crew through his Mountain defense thus earning him the Mountain Eater title.

My guess is that flashback includes a quick passage about Roger being defeated in a fight by Rocks (in a Davy Back fight?) and Gaban getting his Mountain Eater title saving all of the Roger Pirates crew from Davy Back fight defeat.

Would be interesting, but we already know how he got his nickname, he took Roger to the doctor and fought scavengers who wanted to claim Roger's head while he was in recovery.

I’d appreciate if the Rocks story was to be continued from last chapter.
Silver Axe was another former member of the Rocks Pirates, Sengoku mentioned his name alongside Ochoku and Captain John. But yes, the axe hint might easily be about Gaban instead.

I don't know, to me the closing with their flag waving seems a lot like the closing for the Rocks on this flashback.

If it's Roger in his teenage years, then maybe, but I can't see him losing more as an adult. He made it up far as Pirate King through might.

Well since this is apparently still supposed to be an Elbaf flashback, maybe it‘s about Roger landing on Elbaf with Garp on his heels.
