Soul is slightly overrated imo but I think it's as much of a lock as we'll get this year.

I've only seen Octo-Sensei. It's weird film, it's good. Interesting, in depth. But weird. Because the guy pretty much falls in love with the octopuss.

Yeah I'm gonna have to find a clip of Husavik specifically, was excited for it. It's such a clichéd song for a clichéd moment in a cliché film but it still low-key gives me goosebumps every time.

I've been in Bobbits workshop. I taghu me how to keep my steps steady while handheld operating. Good stuff, nice man.

Nomadland lost Adapted Screenplay and Cinematography, both where it was considered frontrunner. Does not bode well for it in Best Picture (where I predicted it will win)... my score might go south from here on out.

Yeah TPBtP is so stunningly shot. Haven't seen Shame since it came out but I remember it was a great-looking film as well.

Super long handheld shots are Bobbits specialty. I think his works really take viewer there, with the character, in place and emotion.

Though I must say just watching Chicago 6 before the gala, that film also had amazing rhythm. It definitely felt like film had a pulse.

Can't wait to watch Sound of Metal.
