The reason why you only found up to c58 is because manga_hosterz hasn't released c59 since we are lacking Japanese translators. As luck would have it, we (manga_hosterz) plan to release c59 by the end of September (most likely).

We are still in DESPERATE need of Japanese translators! but... a kind soul is helping us with the translation for c59 only. As soon as we can get a steady translators, we should be able to release a bit more often.

When we don't have translators available, we go on hiatus for 5 months!!!... LOL

erm is that being released now? and where is it going to be available? i read the other chapters on mangavolume.com so is chptr59 going on there too?

opalamsk: We are planning to release c59 some time this weekend (if all goes well).

Obxist: Volume 19 released in Japan on August 10, 2007 is the latest volume available. The series seems to still be on-going.


NOTE: We are still in DESPERATE need of a Japanese translator! If you can help even, if it's just for one chapter let me know!!! *bows* repeatedly

opalamsk: The reason why the first link didn't work is because you have to install mIRC @ http://www.mirc.com/ before you can connect to the channel on IRC. Once you install that program and run it; you can then connect to the irc.IRCHighway.net server and join #Manga_Hosterz.

UPDATE: The idea is to release this weekend but, we are still waiting for the proofer to get back to us! If for some reason, we are unable to release this weekend; we WILL then release it by the 1st week of October! ^_^

Man i Loveee this manga... its so hilarious, seriously, theres no plot, but its not needed! so its still being scantalated? so the releases stopped because is the translator issue? well hopefully a translator will be found soon!! other than that for the group that scans this good work!! there some parts of this manga thats translated on peoples blogs. and from what i know its up to like chapter 80 (i think) in Japan.

opalamsk sorry i dont really remember because it was some sort of forum.. when i find out ill put it here or PM it to you....but i don't think it loses it glamor, in the later volumes, Sunako is drawn less chibi and more in her big form more often..

opalamsk: Well, I honestly don't know when the next chapter will come out since at the moment we don't have a translator available. Right now, I'm the only person working on it and unfortunately, my Japanese is not good enough to try my hand at translation. The two translators that I have are both very busy with school/work and they have no idea if or when they will be able to work on it.

Also, there is a possibility that we might end up releasing a version 2 of c59 just because we were missing some text and SFXs from the original release but, I haven't decided whether or not we will, yet. It will all depend on how different it is from the original translation (only got the 1st half of the translation, yesterday).

Volume 19 was released in Japan on August 10, 2007 and that is the latest volume available. As far as I know, the series seems to still be on-going.

opalamsk: The translator is working on it. We are just waiting for that to be able to typeset it and release it. If you can't wait, another group released c60 already

Cireus Edited Mangas just had a Christmas release! Chapters 63-66 were released (I think that's all of Volume 16...)

I don't know about everyone else, but I found this series refreshingly amusing (even though I'm only a few volumes into it). It has all the standard shoujo cliches: guys, unpopular girl, bullies, valentine's day, etc. And then it adds one of the most original female characters I've seen - Sunako. Suddenly, the cliches don't seem so bad because they're in a whole new light (or radiance, if you will).

And I love how this series doesn't take itself too seriously. The chibis and Sunako's ghostly aura and the self-referential comments make it light-hearted despite Sunako's fetishes.

Like baboysai mentioned, the art work is simple and plain. Personally, I think Sunako makes up for that, and not everything can be the Bride of the Water God

If you want a shoujo that's a little different but still the same, this is a good one to try. Now I have to go find the anime

PS - Hey, whoever is Editing this, tap me if you need a freelance cleaner (though it sounds like you might be translator-limited?).

I like this manga because it's making fun of stereotypes, like Ouran. Sunako doesn't get prettier or more feminine. Her goth personality is there to stay. Obviously, it would be nicer if the plot went faster (Sunako and Kyohei, get on with it!). And the art is lazy! The mangaka rarely does backgrounds. But the concept is so fresh that I forgive such things.

I have a question, does the mangaka still draw sunako in chibi form 90% of the time? I dropped the series at volume 11 or so for being so boring..and the lazyness..lol
