It's not the first Kid gundam pilot. Uso from Gundam V2 IIRC was also 14. To your point though, kids asking themselves why they're fighting is kinda eerie.

But yeah, I kinda miss the days when Gundams were unique because of what was attached to them. Like how Heavyarms was a walking piece of explosive ordinance.

Dude, I love Victory Gundam. Usso was (in my opinion) the best gundam pilot not named Amuro Ray. I'm just putting the age out there because having your mommy killed by aliens and being hellbent on revenge for the past 7 years makes that 14 year old unstable. At least Usso knows how to handle this kind of stuff.
