despite the fact that it was so damn busy at work and I thought I deserved a break for finishing service despite the shits, and I just thought some pale gold liquid would do it justice,

but then I thought of my recent misfortune and said to myself I should not even be spending a cent

Spoiler: that story i've been meaning to send to ramon's tftfz? got scrapped.

So this girl I've been friendzoned by, tried to get her to decide whether she'd keep me in the zone or let me go away, has confessed I'm her ONLY best friend, a gentleman, and someone she can rely on when her family life gets tough. And her family life really gets tough, serving a quite politically powerful family.

Anyway I could still feel the sparks coming off that conversation. She had her boyfriend bring her to our usual meeting place, but insisted he shouldn't come. Aww. Even adamantly refused that I'll go to live in Bicol, wanting me to be near her. Aww. Told her it was my personal decision, and certain people are holding me back here in Manila. Then she asked, "is it me?" I told her that I've made certain people a higher priority than myself, including her, which makes me unable to let myself grow. She smiled, and said, "pagbalik mo gusto ko may muscles ka na, maganda na katawan mo."

Afterwards I walked her home (usual meeting place is near her apartment) and she offered a hug. I hesitated, and she noticed, so I replied "Pag niyakap kita, di na kita bibitawan at iuuwi na kita." She laughs, and says "huntingin ka ng kapatid ko." Was very glad she said "kapatid", not boyfriend.

So yeah, I'm still in bliss effect, knowing she used the word "best friend" only because she's in a relationship with another guy. And that she's willing to wait for me to become a better person. And now texts/PMs me daily to make sure I don't procrastinate. Such love.

I have a male bestfriend too, and this other male drinking buddy, but I'm never touchy-feely with either. And we'd never stop each other from going away. For one, my bestfriend lives in my home town and we kinda know we'll end up seeing each other every time I go home for vacation so it's okay. That's because, we don't have romantic feelings for each other, see? (not that we didn't have "almost awkward moments" when we got high those were the days )

But like, with your situation, she tells you these things and holds on to you that when I listen to the story she's sort of being cruel. She has you wrapped around her finger, and she won't even let you go, even if she won't be giving herself to you.

It sounds like, she wants you to become the better man, but unless that happens, she'll hold on to her boyfriend. She may have feelings for you if she wants you to hold on to her like that, but she doesn't want you enough yet to leave her boyfriend. In which case, you're being strung along man.

anyway, I've told her enough times, na if she wanna stay with her bf (she's not counting years, or even hold 'monthsarries'), do it with love without pity. Her bf's got non-terminal cancer, and she feels it's her duty to be with him, but she didn't answer when I asked her if she sees him as the father of her kids.

tl;dr if she's gonna be controlling me from a distance, at least she's giving me enough freedom to act for myself.

and i think this kinds of gaffes come with making other people your comfort zone, not just a part of it.

I agree with BB. She's definitely got you on the hook.

It's nice that you're being a gentleman at all, but she's taking it to the extreme, knowing that you'll always be a gentleman. She's not being fair at all.
