tska nga pala. i heard about the rice shortages going around... 'kay lng ba un philippines? or is the situation bad... my mom told me that once in davao when the shortage was really bad, local companies started hoarding the rice and selling them for ridiculously high prices when there was none left. hope it's not bad there...


they're limiting the amount of rice you can purchase here too. but they shouldn't even bother, cuz the rule was just too stupids...

each person is only supposed to get a limit of 4 sacks of rice per purchase however if you go out of the store and come back a little later you can get 4 more sacks....

well, some news sources claim it is a rice shortage, so I'm just going with that.

I've also read that one factor is increased demand for agri-bio-fuel production. Staple crops such as rice or corn, for example, is being converted to fuel, and thus it creates a supply shortage, and in turn it causes a price hike.

Or...maybe in some countries, there isn't really a shortage...it could very well be an artificial one. Who knows.

Actually I called for a rain. It started over the Cavite/Las Pinas area, then I forgot to state the frequency and magnitude of cloud density... After a while it became clear that I wasn't alone in wishing for a rain...

Ahh, you think that is bad. Come to the country with the most unpredicatble weather. The weather here has more mood swings than a pregnant woman.

For example, a couple of days ago, when i was in my second lesson, it started to rain like crazy, it seemed like a rainstorm was coming. Than 10 minutes later when i left the lesson to go outside, it was sunny again. (WTF!!!) By the time i came back to the college (1 hour later) i looked out the window and it started to rain again while the sun was fucking out! Then to top it all when i was coming back home, it started to rain to such an extent that my frikken socks were wet. When i got inside, it fucking stopped! The journey took me 20minutes, it rains hardcore for 20minutes than stops...WTF o_o
