well you can't really blame indians for having a crooked accent. i guess it comes from the nature of their mother tongue's accent.
about their expertise, i dunno. it might been that you just got a very low techie guy/gal. AFAIK, indians are the ones that are employed mostly when outsourcing technical personnel.
@yonie
musta naman ang training dyan? masaya pa yan ngayon kase you get paid for LEARNING!

just wait till you get on the floor 'adre. for the first week, you'll be anxious and excited getting calls, the next week, you'll wish you have less calls and the weeks after that, you'll be in the bandwagon of "cursing/irate agents".
@imp
it's not that i am defending call center agents and indians but them not knowing what to do is kind of to be expected from them. Why? agents only have a few weeks training on the product before taking live calls. they aren\t experts as well in that field. sometimes a tech support agent can be a graduate of agriculture, finance or performing arts. plus the abuse you get from customers makes the agents think: why should i exert effort?
this, btw, was based from experience and from experiences from other colleagues.
sometimes I know how to deal with the problem but i'd just tell the customer's that there's nothing we can do to save time and lessen the frustration.
