There are still lots of good TV, just not in the usual places. History/NatGeo/Discovery, Basketball TV, Plus the occassional FOX for old seasons of Criminal Minds/Bones/NCIS.

I don't watch TV anymore either, but there are several shows worth watching: Conan, No Reservations, Monster Quest for example... Not much, but there are some.

If I had the money, I'd get a TV for an HDTV as a computer monitor... Just because it's HOOOGGGEEEE!

32 inch LCD's only cost 29k nowadays anyway. That's not bad at all.

@MJ- I've been wanting to watch a full Monster Quest episode... but I only end up watching half since I keep on forgetting what time it shows, and I'm forced to watch what's left of the show...

The mortar shell-cellphone improvised bomb has been used by terrorists in Mindanao for a long time.

@Bugzee History of Art? Cool stuff . I never heard of that course in UPD (which is kinda weird, considering UPD had un-Filipino things such as Meteorology, Anthropology and Archaeology), so it's nice to know there's a Uni in the Philippines which actually bothers with the cool stuff.

Is there a restriction on the type of subjects you guys are able to study over there? Sounds kinda restricted to me.

Yep. It's a great section. I'm suprised that MH actually decided to make one. Kinda over-due really considering nearly every other manga/anime-related forum site has one from the get-go lol.

No masters. My first and most probably final Uni degree. haha~

I didn't think Bugzee was from UPD (because I know that there's no History of Art course in UPD), I just thought he/she was from a uni in the Philippines. I just mentioned UPD in the context of where one would find similar out-of-the-box courses in the Philippines.

That being said, it's Monday and I'm freakin' tired.

borrowing a 32" samsung lcd tv for a monitor never felt so good.

I got a Samsung monitor rebadged as a "Dell" monitor. They're awesome. Do you play any video games on it? PS3, xbox?

There are only a few universities (less than 5?) that can offer such things as Fine art or Humanities or some other quirky courses here.

Which explains, for example, why there are only 7 licensed and qualified environmental planners in the country, probably less than 50 environmental scientists, less than 3,000 music majors, etc. etc. While we have a surplus of nurses who then become underpaid because of their sheer population.

for me it's like the national id system, except you don't have to actually use it to use a phone-triggered bomb right? xD

Not really new, but its causing a ruckus because our President whined at the APEC summit a few months ago that the terror threats other countries (including UK) posted against us weren't true.

Turns out he was wrong.
