there are conflicting variations of existentialism, and there isn't really a definitive definition of it...but the one I'm interested in is the idea that in our short human life, we ought to make the best of our lives.

This has always been my principle in life.

so unknowingly, I have been practicing existensialism

and regarding the boulder-pushing guy (I heard this one sometime in my high school years), if by pushing the rock satisfies him (us) then by all means, push the rock till eternity fades. It really is a fact that we as persons, recognize ourselves when we do something that defines us. we give value to ourselves once we do or accomplish something that is really self satisfactory.

Finding the meaning in life, for me is quite different from what most people believe but that's another topic altogether.

Yeah, philosophy and theology is pretty interesting stuff...I like reading about it in my spare time.

re: nickname

I got my nick because my real name is Mark, but my roommate he called me "Big Miyi-AAAAAAARK", where the miyi part is pronounced "Me-yay" (Me as in "me", yay that rhymes with "my")....so the name stuck, my friends started calling me big miyi. Besides that, there's no special meaning in it.

did I explain this before? My nick's baboysai because it's from battousai (which I hope you all know. 0.0 if you don't... er...) but I don't like using character's names or aliases much. So I modified it to baboysai. Besides, baboy naman talaga ako, malakas kumain, hee. My friends back home call me "babs" sometimes.

@everybody, share ko lang. Namamatay na ako sa requirements. The sem's about to end but the exams and projects just keep piling up! To de-stress myself, I bought boots! My long awaited boots! Even if it's not rainy season, I'll keep them for the rainy days. Kulay green and orange siya. But that makes me wanna buy more- red boots naman! wee!

Yeah, I know how stress feels like. I should probably quit smoking and find alternative stress-reliefs, like shopping for boots. Oh, but I'm broke nga pala.

I wish I could have another stress reliever like shopping.

Because I really need to stop smoking. With my current job, and how my everyday life is leading, it's gonna tax me big sooner or later

but then again, shopping as a stress reliever...I think I'd accumulate more stress with that. I'm a miser to a fault.


Kwento ko lang. Sumabog yung TV namin na luma dito sa kwarto kaya wala na kong mapanooran ng DVD's ko Cruel fate! Tapos hindi naman ako makanood sa TV namin sa baba dahil panay na lang channel 2 at hindi ako makasingit. Paano pa kaya kung magpakabit ako ng cable? E di lalo ako sigurong hindi nakanood.

Oh well, at least more time for me to read some books. amuse

shopping is evil! specially if you get to the perfume/cologne section! it's like every single salesperson is an agressive npc, running after you untill they force you to smell their product!

lol! That's how they sell their products e. Of course hey are taking the chances that you might change your mind once you smell their product.
But really, shopping is never my thing. Maybe shopping for books but for clothes...I think I've only shopped for clothes myself for a couple of times in my entire life.

re: shopping
i don't mind shopping, except kung me mapili kang kasamang girl/woman... at 3 oras mamili. moi, quick browse, try on/take a closer look, select from selection and then buy! wala pang 30 minutes!

and i hate those "special offers" in a demo booth with their pleas to buy blaring on the speakers....

i prefer things which has less exposure on ads since mas maganda ung value nya compared to those well-advertised products. just imagine how much of the retail price goes to subsidize ad expenses....

EDIT: guys, do you know where to download Death Note episodes by the bulk in torrent? I don't know. I can't seem to find one. I'm downloading via DDL but I can't leave it since I have to go to work later.

@BSS- lol, yeah! men DO NOT design clothes, men design cars, programs, comics, computers, guitars, weapons, and anything else which would be considered manly! as far as clothes are concerned the most designer i'll ever get is a no fear T-shirt or chucks, and still, those are manly brands! lol....i just need to take a blood test for my insurance....i also do it once in a while, just to see if i'm still in ok shape- which i've neer been....just too damn fat....

sportswear is ok, ONLY IF YOU PLAY THE SPORT YOU'RE ADVERTISING THROUGH YOUR CLOTHES if you wear...lets say a michael jordan jersey, but you don't watch the game on TV and you don't play the sport then you shall be branded as a POSER! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

being an enthusiast, and wanting to wear these sport themed items is ok....

But then, at the mere mention of these, you automatically link them to something manly right? Sports are for men since the ancient times. Ferrari jackets connotes the car (manly). Golf? I dunno. I have doubts with this sport being manly.
