^ ....once again the entire purpose of Gungi is flying right over your head. You obviously didn't understand the narrator explaining, IN DETAIL, the comparison between Netero's attacks + Meruem's reaction vs the mental development Meruem underwent via TACTICALLY battling Komugi. It's like you don't even read the posts that you quote and then just repeat yourself. You're a broken record and I'm so done lol.
Again you don't read me. I said for a fact. Meruem did beat him using Gungi. You're right. But is that the only way to beat Netero? No. If Ging fought Netero (We know Gingi is basically stronger than Netero combat wise) would he beat him using Gungi? No. There are more ways than one to win vs Netero.

Why would we think ging is stronger than netero? We have never actually seen evidence of a character being able to move nearly at the speeds at which netero moved.... I don't see how a human can win against the guy if netero can hit you at least dozens of times, in a second, with each punch having the strength to break the ground you stand on.... Netero said there were people stronger than him but I'd say at this point it is clear he was just trolling. He said morel and novu were stronger than him and yet we have every reason to think netero would easily and instantly one shot them out of existence before they even get to blink.

Netero was definitely joking when he said Knuv and Morel was stronger than him and they told him to stop teasing them.
Ging is stronger than Netero. Netero mention that he use to be to the strongest but those days have long passed and mentions Ging as bein top 5 in the world

Top 5 NEN Users, we don't know if he was talking about combat. It is clearly stated in the last chapters that Ging is capable of beating everyone in multiple areas.
But we don't know his true potential yet. :c

Well, he was as serious when he said knov and morel were stronger than him as when he said there were stronger people than him. Netero's sheer skill is something that simply dwarfs any other high level nen user we have seen. If anything, in terms of skill alone even the ants did not quite mach up, its only in raw power where netero was surpassed. How exactly do you even engage netero in a straight fight? Is there any indication that the high level nen users we have seen could even react to an attack by netero? Even pitou could not react to netero's attack and his physical capacities were far above that of your standard high level nen user. The ryodan had their share of trouble with mere captain ants or whatnot.

I don't get your post....No he wasn't serious. He teased Knov & Morel. They note this during the Chimera nest extermination as they kept sending his ants to destroy. Your own argument supports he wasn't serious for his skill is unmatched...

When Netero said he wasn't Top 5 any more he was dead serious. He knew he was no longer the worlds strongest man with appearances of other talents and great Hunters...Yes top 5 Nen users would have to include Nen martial artist and not people like alluka..Regardless if they were top 5 Nen users their ability or skill would be superior to Netero's

Last of all the Spiders did not have a hard time with the Ants...Kalluto torture'd and played around with his ant, Shizuku easily escape the ants web, beat him up and sucked him dry, The tribal sound Spider member merely struck the ant didn't penetrate its exoskeleton so he crushed it, Phinx obliterated his ant, shalnark merely dodge'd got caught on purpose to control the ant and easily found his way out.....Feitan the only member to fight a captain ant, who are actually capable,,Feitan is the only member to get injured and he broke and arm tanking an emission attack without any aura.....Plz explain where was the struggle for them??

Ging is definitely stronger. Netero at one point the strongest. In fact i think it's mentioned that he had to share that title due to technicalities back and forth with one of the Zoldycks.

Netero stated that he was almost twice as strong in his youth as he is right now, at the age of 100+ which is definitely an honesty assessment. (I doubt anyone would retain half their overall physical strength when they are 100 versus in their fighting prime 30-50.)

Now unless you mean to try to say that on top of being number 1, Netero somehow is half as strong as he was 60+ years ago (with the deterioration of reflexes and reaction speed to boot, so in all he's maybe 40% as efficient as he used to be), is still number one? Even tho the story has confirmed there are human beings around his strength level?

And I'm simply looking at the train of logic. Netero was number 1 a few years ago, he's 40% of that battle prowess in his old age, Ging is said to be a prodigy and places easily in the top 5 of the current generation of Nen users. Ging just makes sense as someone who'd be stronger, given all cannon evidence. Now is that to say he'd crush Netero? Maybe, maybe not. But i still think Ging is one of the strongest in the world, only trumped by MAYBE a Zoldyck and Netero's own son.

No but Pitou is a melee based character. Tell me one single ranged attack that Pitou has.

I'm not sure how this qualifies as 'ranged' but she's a puppeteer. Capable of holding a whole army under her possession at once. She can fight without needing to be close to Netero, and each puppet moves fluently, and as HxH has taught us, less puppets you hold under your control, the more and more they move with the skill of the actual puppeteer.

Again i don't qualify Puppets as a 'ranged' attack but they definitely remove her from dangers reach and let her us her En to guide the puppets mid fight.

Eerrhhh, yeah, the point of my analogy is that netero is indeed unmatched and wasn't really being serious when he said he was no longer the strongest. Realistically speaking no hunter we have seen fight has shown to have the sheer skill or the means to even react to netero's speed (maybe killua could and even that is a stretch). Can the high level nen users we have seen so far at least react to netero's speed? Of the strongest people we have seen, what exactly have they shown that would prevent them from being squashed like insects by a single of netero's attacks? No one can dodge what they can't see coming. And with netero we are not talking about the guy throwing punches one at a time either... His speed is so baffling that the king could not keep up at all and rather than matching or surpassing netero's speed he figured out a pattern he could take advantage of. Which seems kinda like absurdly beyond any high level nen user we have seen in a fight. Honestly, my impression about netero is that he was on the level with high level nen users we see today before he went for his crazy training.

You are right, not all of the spiders had that hard a time with the ants. As for shalnark though, I'd argue he was had there. I mean, he was caught intentionally to get his own technique working but he was beaten to the punch. And he resorted to what seems to be his strongest technique to win simply because at that stage he was out of options. Being fair though, your standard captain arc seems to be comparable to relatively high level nen users. The captain ants we saw fighting once they got their nen showed they were serious threats to the likes of morel and a few others... And the royals were far above them.

So... an army of puppets wouldn't all be instantly swatted a mile away by one single hand movement of Netero? Lol

Pitou said that Adult Gon was on the same level as the King.
Gon absolutely train wrecked Pitou.

It's just too far of a stretch to say that Pitou could beat Netero. The entire point of mentioning gungi is that Meruem became so OP as far as tactics go that he was able to break through. Netero hit Pitou once and she went flying. If she fought in that same tomb type area she would literally just be beaten to death. It just confuses me that people seem to think that the RG are almost equivalent to Meruem. They are the closest, sure, but Netero's Hatsu was broken as fuck and the only reason he lost was because Meruem was a Pitou with ridiculous tanking abilities/armor/whatever.

I'm sure adult Gon would've hurt his hand pretty damn bad smashing Meruems turtle shell head vs. Pitou's soft and squishy cat body.

Edit: Kcck -

I think Shalnarks SSJ move was kind of a shout out to his buddy Toriyama because I'm sure ten or twenty years from now, when we get another phantom troupe arc, Shalnark will go SSJ2 and higher. I mean the dude literally looked like trunks lol

As far as the manga told us pitou was barely able to grasp netero moving his arms and he certainly did not see the attack from kannon coming. Pitou survived that attack but how about 10000? Or far more than that? Pitou can't win this, his physical capacity is clearly inferior to that of the king and he certainly does not have the king's gungi induced foresight... Even the king would probably not have been able to beat netero without the gungi thing. Pitou's only chance is that netero runs out of stamina before he does however I'd say that is unlikely. And even if that does happen netero has zero as a final card. Pitou is unlikely to make it that far as comfortably as the king did and is unlikely to be able to able to take zero the way the king did.

Netero would need a lot of hits to be able to injure Pitou and she can heal herself if she needs to, the fight is going to be long but Netero has nothing to put her down for good, he will eventually make a blunder and die. Pitou only needs one hit to finish him.

I doubt pitou healing himself is a factor here. Such a thing would imply he stops fighting, uses dr blithe which fixes him to a location and has the time to do it. And also netero for some reason does not attack. When pitou uses dr blithe he can't use his other nen, he couldn't even defend from gon when healing komugi a while back. In other words, if he tries to heal he probably won't survive even one hit.

As far as pitou needing one hit to kill netero, I would argue it is not the case at all. The king with his komugi induced pattern recognition took more than a while to land 1 hit. And it did not kill netero. Then it took him yet another while to land a second hit and it also didn't kill netero. With pitou being overall weaker than the king, being completely unable to see netero's attacks coming and lacking the pattern recognition abilities that the king had, what are his actual odds of landing a single hit? The king wasn't playing around with netero to boot, the arm and leg were simply what the openings netero had allowed, nothing more. Its impossible for pitou to land even one hit, its impossible for him to aim for the openings meruem took advantage off. Pitou's nen provides absolutely no means of hurting or otherwise causing damage to netero. even if terpsichora allowed pitou to physically surpass the king, which it probably does not, he would have no way of getting past netero's defense.

Pitou's only chance of winning is to buckle up and simply take everything netero can throw at him. He can't see the attacks coming, he can't dodge the attacks, he can't read them, he can't predict them. His only real chance of winning is that he can take absolutely everything netero can throw at him until netero is simply too tired to go on. And then take on zero and survive it with enough strength to finally be able to land a hit. Which sounds ridiculous and impossible considering he is in all aspects weaker than the king and his nen does not give him anything that would make a difference or help avoid a physical fight or otherwise injure netero. Even his corpse probably does not have what it takes to do anything to netero.

Again, the puppets move just as fluidly as Pitou when low in numbers.. IE if the fight drags out and Pitou is left with only say... a dozen, the dozen would be able to move as fluidly as she could. Plus under her Hatsu she moved fast enough to beat God Speed Killua to her target despite Kill getting an almost instant awareness of what was going on. And she caught Gon off guard so...

Saying that Pitou in actual combat isn't just as fast to perceive Netero is like saying that God Speed Killua wouldn't be able to... Nor would Gon as an adult.

Secondly, The first time the King got hit with Netero's Hatsu he couldn't completely follow/react to the movement. So if that was the only time they clashed, using the logic you guys are stringing along, i guess that means Meruem can't fight Netero? If you recall in the beginning 1/3rd of the fight, it 'seemed' like Netero was winning. Because of the fact that Meruem could barely grasp the angles and nature of his attack. But what happened? His senses became attuned to the fight and He was able to pick out the movements he needed, and started to predict what his opponent was doing.

in Pitou's case there are literally WAY too many variables to the blow landing that you're leaving out. The attack came from an unexpected angle, while she was mid air (No control over movement) in the middle of activating a technique that required her to shift her focus inward towards her body to release her physical limits.

Tell me how ANY of that indicates that a hatsu enhanced, En using battle tempered Pitou COULDN'T percieve, dodge, and counter Netero's attacks? En would get rid of the need to 'predict' what her opponent is doing, because she'd see it all, no need for strategy when everything is laid out infront of you plainly.

And yes. She was swatted almost a Mile away, but if i recall .... Meruem was swatted all over the place also? And if he received a blow mid air he would've been sent flying just as well. Hell, if Adult Gon tried to rise up to Netero in Mid Air, he'd be sent flying. No damage done... but flying nonetheless. The force of the blow has nothing to do with it... And pitou had NO visual damage done to her when recieving Netero's first hit, even tho it caught her off guard and while her aura was down and activating a Hatsu...so Again. It's not like she barely survived the blow for you guys to cite the damage done...

What puppets are you talking about? I am not sure of what you are talking about in most of your first paragraph.

For all we know neither of those would actually pull that off. As far as pitou goes we actually saw him being unable to react to netero's speed.

Meruem is clearly different from pitou though. Meruem was to begin with stronger than pitou, perhaps even a lot stronger and to complement that the manga gave netero gunji based pattern prediction abilities. The only reason meruem ever got to netero was because of the prediction thing which the manga attributed to gunji, without that its unlikely meruem would have ever been able to predict the the small chances he had to land the hits he got on netero.

All in all pitou is weaker than the king, less intelligent than the king and simply does not have the pattern prediction ability a freaking board game gave the king. And even with the king being overall stronger, smarter and with the pattern thing it took meruem a long time, hundreds of thousands of hits to get those two punches on netero.

En does not have any prediction abilities, it merely allows the user to feel stuff within his nen. And even if it did, it would still be a terrible idea. En would leave pitou defenseless and unable to attack since his nen would be spread over a relatively large area. A rather large area considering it would have to be large enough to feel netero's kanon punches from a meaningful distance. Overall, en is suicide.

I am not saying pitou barely survived, he certainly took almost no damage from that one attack. But that is not relevant. In a fight against netero pitou would be on the receiving end of hundreds of thousands of attacks. Attacks which he can't predict and can't see coming. Even meruem got to feel a little pain from the attacks... With pitou being unable to do what meruem did to predict the punches and being weaker than the king, its all but a matter of time until netero punches him to death. Nothing which pitou has shown really suggests he would be able to do what meruem did. And its not like his hatsu would give him that many choices either.

I did say in my post that predicting the attacks is not the only option to attack Netero, Meruem did this because he wanted it and that the palm attacks were not enough powerful to harm him. You think an human like Zeno for example would fight against Netero like that?
I saw this and just had to reply
The fact is Meruem himself knew he would never be able to get close enough to Netero unless he further calculated millions of different attacks in which he DID attack with millions of different ones. It was his only option for hitting Netero and he knew his durability was high enough for taking hits from Netero which made it POSSIBLE to hit him. The King wouldnt have been able to beat Netero if he hadn't trained with Komugi(I believe is her name) without strategy the King would lose as he would never land a hit on him and god knows when Netero would run out of aura completely. Pitou is BY FAR below Meruems intellect and her strength and speed are substantially less. Forget durability and healing as I would believe Netero with his speed would never let her heal. She would definitely not be able to percieve Neteros attacks in the first place and would most likely die as she would never be able to get near to Netero. Shes not even a matchup for him, without any of his special abilities Netero far surpasses Pitous speed, and his durability wouldnt matter because he would never be touched. Meruem HAD TO calculate the battle to win and only reason he could was because he could actually see Neteros movements. Everyone should know The King is on a whole different level of strength than Pitou and he even begins to feel pain later in his fight with Netero. Pitou would not feel pain because she woukd be astoundingly dead. Its how it works since she cannot calculate Neteros movements which would basically mean Neteros hits would seem like they have no error when they actually do but only the King was able to see his moves. Pitou is a goner in this fight and if he were to use Zero hand she would just be demolished further. Lets not forget Netero when he stabbed himself in the heart is extremely fast. Pitou wiuldnt be able to read his movements and the bomb would indefinitely make Pitou dissappeare off the face of the earth.
10/10 Netero would win the fight. Pitou just has too little compared to the king in a fight like this. Unable to see his movements is her downfall even if the fight kasted long she doesnt last longer than Meruem
GG
P.S The King would still win even if he didnt calculate moves, but he would actually accumulate damage in a much higher amount (we saw netero hurt him slightly overtime) outlasting netero for him is easily possible but I would say the king would've felt a good amount of damage overtime since it woukd take much longer to last Netero than calculate the moves. )

GG
P.S The King would still win even if he didnt calculate moves, but he would actually accumulate damage in a much higher amount (we saw netero hurt him slightly overtime) outlasting netero for him is easily possible but I would say the king would've felt a good amount of damage overtime since it woukd take much longer to last Netero than calculate the moves. )
1.) I agree the King didn't have to calculate, it was just an easy way there.

2.) Based on what scale are we assuming that Netero is unbeatable by normal standards? I honestly just want someone to be straight forward and tell me where the Netero is god thought comes from. Because from what we know, he clearly isn't the strongest fighter type anymore right? And if there are people sitting over him in strength (besides his 'troll picks') then there are clearly CLEARLY multiple ways of beating Netero. Out lasting him based on mathmatical moves is a preference Meruem showed, nothing more. Nothing less.

If there are infact humans who can beat Netero based on their natural abilities, wouldn't a creature biologically superior/Genius level nen user have a chance?

And also where is this: Pitou can't percieve Netero's attacks coming from? Meruem and Pitou had the EXACT SAME first encounter with Netero... A golden flash, and then an attack that did NO physical damage. -The only difference is that Meruem fought long enough to get adjusted to the speeds (Even then, not completely). So if their first encounters were the exact same experience, as in being blitzed by golden light and not being able to move: Why would you assume Pitou in the heat of battle couldn't adjust like Meruem?

I agree with you. I don't view Netero as the Strongest ever Ging, Partison and Beyond seem to Just as unique in skill & ability.
But these said to he stronger characters have no showings, or feats to set their name in stone like Netero does...Rightfully so The Chairman of the Hunter Associate, once was the strongest man, fought Maha Zodlcyk (Everyone he's ever fought is dead) *Zeno backs this up, This happened when Zeno was just a child and he says Netero was already an old man then.

Netero's Level of Skill was insane, His Fight with Mereum shows that....The greatest Nen users like Zoldyck's, Hisoka, Spiders, Kite all fall under the RG's Heel easily. But Triple OG Netero was able to fight the King and hurt him after great effort..Netero is juss boss

Netero is not a god

In my arguement I'm stating the fact that Netero has one of the highest attack speeds not strength. Meruem, Pitou, Adult Gon, and many more characters most probably have higher amounts of raw power to tap into than Netero does. Pitou lacks the abilities Meruem is gifted such as his intellect, although Pitou is extremely smart Meruem himself woukdn't have been able to take a strategy into account if he hadnt met Komugi (If thats her name). She allowed him to open up into a section Pitou hasn't done(aka strategize). Meruem already is stronger than Pitou but being able to learn tactics allowed him to go waaaayyy higher than Pitous level of combat. Netero is only fast in terms if his summon and being abke to use that to fight.
In saying that why would Pitou not be able to adjust is her lack of placing tactics (Meruem became skilled through Komugi) and her relatively lower speed and strength compared to Meruem. I agree Pitou is extremely tough and durable but she wouldn't last near the amount of hits Meruem could take. Meruem was also only abke to cut through Netero a couple of times by again strategizing in his attacks using new combinations over and over. Pitou not being abke to do this would lead her to a standstill as he wouldnt know how to get through Netero. If she were to last and not die due to the amount of damage he takes Putou woukd definitely win as she has much higher power compared to Netero.
In some situations Pitou could easily overtake Netero but thats IF she rivals the durability of Meruem. (I do not see him lasting the amount of hits Meruem took and combined with his zero hand Pitou wouldn't survive.)
Other than that summon Netero isnt strong at all compared to others. Its just his hand movements that are so conditioned and extrenely fast where it would be near impossible for Pitou to get farther than the King. Again Pitous first encounter with Netero was a lack of interest as I do agree he lacks in power amount. But I doubt Pitou woukd expect such insane speed. If she can last the amount of hits until Netero becomes tired she woukd win but we have no confirmation of either side lasting. Netero could cause enough damage to Pitou to kill her, but we dont know just how durable she is. We also dont know how long Netero could last.
I'd draw a line at a draw on both sides when I look at it.
P.S I have a lot of typos since my damn phone is having keyboard issues lol
