vB is set to, by default, not allow users to edit thread titles, but only the title of the first post itself. If you want your threadname changed, you have to contact a moderator.

This is quite inconvenient, both for members and mods, so we will most likely install a mod or fix it in some way, but as you probably have noticed, all forum mods are off right now.

Hmm,

About the new format of the forum interface.

Before, it was that the options on the left of the screen [thumbs/links/etc] can always be seen but now, the whole screen becomes the forum. Will this be a permanent change?

I've been having trouble adjusting to it since I'm very much used to just browsing through the forums by using those links on the once-existing left side bar whenever I roam around. But now, I have to go click the "mangahelpers" back link at the top of a page every time and then be transported to a long list of ALL the forum and sub-forums and sub-divisions, etc. And what's more is that when you choose to hide the options, the site then looks very empty and dull.

It may be so that this is a good way to save bandwidth so it was implemented or just an accident, anyways, IMO, the site isn't quite the same and the new changes on the interface are very inconvenient and unaesthetic o_o

Yah, that's a sucky thing about VB. I myself thought I couldn't do it either until the others pointed out that I could being a Black OP, but I don't think you have the same VB commands that I do because you're not on the staff. =/

I'm sure all the staff wish they knew that, including the admins. March obviously wasn't a good month for us. Not only did we have to deal with server problems, but also with general mod inactivity due to real life issues (including yours truly =/).

Regarding that, I feel terrible about not being able to afford time for MH in these dark times. I sure picked a great time to have to be inactive, before all hell broke loose with the server. Well, not like I had a choice. However, we do have fantastic techs who are still around, and they're still doing their best right now.

We've gotten thru setbacks before and we should be able to deal with this one too. Let's just be grateful the forum is still here at all right now and not shutting down as much as it had been for the last month.

One silver lining though: EVERYTHING as far as latest releases are in the Downloads & Releases section now. All the latest translations and Edited Mangas too. Good thing we made that change huh? Even if we didn't foresee this happening, at least it's easier to navigate around and find all the stuff you want even without the menu.

Is it still possible to make a horrizontal separator (line)? the code used to be

And major props to our tech staff for bringing back the menu & shouts. Hopefully this will be the end of our problems with the server for a LONG while.

I know a few people had that error previously before we turned off the portals this last time (myself included), but the error hasn't surfaced the portals was reintegrated again. But we will look into it.
