Feedback Problems with the site?

Everytime I'm idle (not doing anything in the site) for maybe 3 to 5 minutes, this site will 'kick' me out (read: logged-out automatically). This is especially annoying when I'm typing long reply. Please, please, please, fix this. Thank you...

Oh yes, maybe not fix, but it would be nice, if time of automatic log out was about 10 minutes longer than how it is now ^^

Hi, I've been having a hard time with the search function (when not logged in). It works and all, just the image verification. That doesn't seem to work well as I can't read half the characters in the images and when I can read the images, somehow the characters I typed into the box doesn't seem to match at all. Just now, I've tried doing a search and went through 10 different tries with no success. I don't suppose you can change those images to something more readable, could you?

Hey, there's recently been a release of Shaman King; i found the link in your manga Edited Manga index. Problem is, whenever i try to access it, first it asks me to login and then it tells me i am unable to access the thread due to permission issues. Is it a bug that came up with my user during the site upgrade..?

The Shaman King Edited Mangas are due to issues which we won't lay down until clarification to save everyone involved some nerves unavailable on this site.

whether they are available on a different site, i don't know, you might be lucky and find them ^^


whether they will come back or not is right now not clear either.

OK heres something, I can only visit your website a couple a times a week, the rest of the time I recieve a 404 not found, which of course is quite annoying since Im a big fan of mangahelpers.... so is it my end and how do I fix it?

First of all, this is the first time we receive this kind of feedback. Whatever happened to you, doesn't happened to the others. We can still log in to MangaHelpers everyday without any problems.

I can suggest a few things you can do. Make sure if you typed the URL correctly. It's http://mangahelpers.com

Try to check if there is another software on your PC that caused this, a firewall for example. And try to add MangaHelpers to its allow list.

Well I figured it wasnt normal since I would have solved it on my own, its not my pc, I have formatted 3 times since I have had this pc, I have no firewall and I only have this problem with this url and its subsections. I am using Opera and I got a bookmark for the website so I aint even typing the url link.

I have ruled out my pc with numerous tests so its either I have numerous tabs open relating to mangahelpers which looks like im trying to spam your site which may get my butt blocked for a while (I am sooo guessing here)

Its something to do with my ISP and how it handles your website which is also extremly vague. Im using Eclipse in england and according to them they do not filter any internet sites so im clueless which is why I thought I should ask even if it is a shot in the dark. Ill keep on experimenting and try to narrow it down.

i ain't a tech or anything here, but since you mentioned bookmarks:

did you import them from your older installations?

because the url to the forum was (a while back now) mangahelpers.com/forum/ and now is mangahelpers.com/forums/

it likely ain't the case, but at least we can rule out one thing after your answer ^___^

The bookmark points to the new R/T/S section of the forum so no its not that,

It may be to do with how I configure my pc, I can visit the website from another PC on the lan when my PC gives me a 404 not found :S

I know its not software specific since I have tried IE and Opera to visit the website and I have disabled windows firewall completely (im on XP) so im pretty clueless but so far this website has been fine for 2 days for me, thats a record btw, maybe it blew over

A few quick questions;
What happened to the front page?
Why is it that "Front Page" and "The Forums", in the left side menu, point to the same page?
Why do url's that include "/forum/" no longer work?
e.g:
http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4184 does not work
http://mangahelpers.com/showthread.php?t=4184 works

I also just noticed, the the shout bar at the top of the page is also gone...

We are currently having some technical problems with the site. It seems that somehow the links are not working properly right now. The links from the portal is currently not working, but the links from the forum index page still works You can still easily navigate through MH from there.

Just be patient with us ^^
We are currently trying our best to solve the problems. Hopefully it will all be fine soon

I don't know if it's just me, but since yesterday, the site layout images aren't loading for me (i.e. images hosted on img1.webwosting.com). So, I can't click on edit, quote, or multiquote, nor see the gender icon or country flags.

I tried to ping the host (img1.webwosting.com) and it timed out. The tracert also times out though webwosting.com itself is fine. Is anyone else having this problem?

PS. If I wait long enough, the images turn into text commands, but... this is going to make posting anything difficult. ;_;

Then happens sometimes when - usually friday around the time when the Jump RAWs pop up

I guess, the server is just to busy then and can't handle it anymore. It's usually ok after a while again.

Okay this happened to me twice today after installing the latest Firefox update. When I come to the main page, it redirects me to this address after loading only the links sidebar: http://mangahelpers.com/profile.php?do=dst On this page is this message:

Not Found

The requested URL /profile.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.4 (Unix) PHP/4.4.7 Server at mangahelpers.com Port 80

I was going to post this about an hour ago, but it magically started working again, so I thought it was a one-time fluke, but it happened again.

Hmmm.. the only thing I can think of is there is something wrong with the DST setting in your profile. Let me guess, are you setting the DST time in your profile option to "On"? It seems that this problem arises when the DST is changing.

Yeah, I think updating your profile is the best way to fix it. Hopefully (cause I'm not getting the error and so kinda hard to trouble shoot... )

I had this issue with users complaining about it on my board. I ultimately found the solution that fixed everybody was to 301 redirect profile.php to forums/profile.php.
