Downsizing/Restructuring Game
Using this (downsizing/restructuring) term, many hard-working people are being laid off during our current difficult economy. Using the same principle, the goal is quite simple. Out of the all the players here, each one of you will to face the risk of being “downsized”!
The rules of the game:
1)Anybody can play, but you have to write a post indicating that you want to take part in the game in this
thread.
2)Once there are enough people to play the game, the game will start.
3)All of the players will receive a bundle of blank vouchers that we will call “M Tickets”. They represent the $1000 that will be given to each one of the players in this game.

The “M” in the “M Ticket” stands for money. Basically they are just like checks.
At this time, each of you possesses a check worth up to $1000. You are allowed to use that money as you please during this game.
4) The “M Tickets” will be used to buy and sell whatever things the players consider they need in order to win the game. Both seller and buyer must indicate the item and the amount paid for it on their M tickets. You will then send these to the Liar Game secretariat and once approved the transaction is complete. Unless both sides agree, the transaction is invalid. Please be aware that if, after approval, the agreed-upon item is not received you will be disqualified of the game. You will see that after this game begins
things you least expect will sell for an extremely high price…
5) In addition to the “M Tickets”, all of the players will receive “V Tickets”. The “V” in the “V Ticket” stands for vote. The V Tickets are ballots with 5 spaces in which you write names. All of you will write the names of people you wish to downsize. You are to write five names in the blanks. It doesn’t matter if you use the same name more than once. Disobey this rule and you will be disqualified. However, you may not write your own name or the name of a player that doesn’t exist.
You will vote like this during 4 rounds in total. At the end of each voting round, the LG secretariat will display the current tallies. This is to allow you to reference the tallies in preparation for the next voting round. After the 4th voting round, the player with the most votes will be the winner while the rest of the players will be downsized…in other words, they will lose this game.
6) There is one more way to win this game that is to buy your right to win the game. The amount of money given to each player, in other words $1000, will be multiplied by the number of players and that will be how much it will cost to buy the right to win the game. If a person doesn’t manage to obtain the required amount of money to buy the right to win the game but he/she manages to obtain the most amount of money among the players, he/she will be exempted of the penalties the downsized players will have to face. In addition, a person can buy another player out of the game (making the player lose before the game ends) during any round as long as he/she can pay the same amount of money the player he/she wants to buy out possesses at that moment.
7) The V Tickets must be sent to the LG secretariat before the round ends. If a player sends his/her V Ticket after the round is over, the player will be disqualified.
8) Once each round starts, you will have 36hrs to send your V Ticket. If the player does not send his/her V Ticket within 36hrs, the player will be disqualified. However, if all the players send their V Tickets before the 36 hours are up, the secretariat will write a post in this thread informing the players about the results.
9 )You can vote at any time during the voting time, but you do have to indicate once you have voted by writing “My V ticket is in”. Lying in response to this rule is not allowed.
More rules:
One of the players will be designated as the Liar Game secretariat. The Liar Game secretariat will be in charge of tallying the votes. The Liar Game secretariat will make sure that the rules are followed and that there is no foul play going on, as well as enforcing penalties for violation of rules or foul play. As punishment for breaking the rules or foul play; the player:
-will be face automatic disqualification
-will not only have to use an avi chosen by the winner of the game, but also a sig too.
-The winner of the game gets to choose the losers’ avatars/sigs. The losers will have to have these for a week. No offensive avis/sigs are allowed!! The losers will have to accept the avis/sigs the winner chooses for them without complaining, even if they don’t like the avis/sigs or the characters. The amount of days you have to keep a forced avatar/ sig will depended on the amount of money you have. If you end up with more money than what you started with then you receive a lesser number of days. If you have less then you have to do more days. In addition, the winner gets "thank you" rep points from all of the losers.
-Once a player is disqualified, the player cannot have any contact with players that are still in the game; but only in regards to the game.
-Players are allowed to buy and sell using their M tickets whatever the players think they will need in order to win the game. Only M tickets pm to the Liar Game secretariat will be honored! The secretariat will not interfere in the way transactions are made; the secretariat only will make sure that the transactions are honored.
