Why are OPM chapters so short?

I think they split chapter content in half, or so it seems to me. For example, you always get ch70.2 before you get ch71, which would equal to about 38-40 pages.

Good point. Because of the crazy release schedule, I don't know whether it's a Monthly release or not. Perhaps the chapters are simply too long?

AFAIK it's a biweekly, though sometimes there are delay in finding raws or getting scans.

Aye, it fills my 'Hellsing' niche for 'author who knows his character is OP and doesn't give 2 shits'.

It doesn't take itself too seriously and just has fun - it's one of the few mangas which is always a pleasure to read/look at the pweeety pictures.

Exactly. There's just such simplicity to how exciting it is to see him arrive and save the day. But then you look deeper and pay attention the way Murata switches between the comical and serious character designs to convey certain moods, especially when it comes to Saitama, it's awesome.

For every boring, run of the mill, overused character, you have at least 4 or 5 novel interesting (probably useless, but still) characters.

For a manga with such a simple premise/joke, it really has quite a lot of novelty; which many other more complicated mangas, with more complex storylines/ideas, lack.

I think OPM is a masterpiece honestly. It just never fails to above the very high bar it sets for itself.
