I've done restaurant work before, but not as a chef; just a waiter/bartender. The rest of the time was similar roles but for events and whatnot.

But yes, mostly to do with food. Food posts though, are usually my own food, if I post them on here...
Yea you used to post them on Slack a fair bit iirc.

Sounds like you're enjoying the opportunity to learn new roles and take on different challenges. It's a good feeling.

WAT 3CMM on IG?? My stalking path didn't get me there yet, but sure will now.

Uhm, yeah not really important, I'm in a team of six exchangable pawns working our asses off to hammer data in and meet deadlines. The real analytic work begins after, which we get non of it. Started this job last year in may and was prior in a junior position in similar field but smaller company. Can't say I'm really happy right now though, as the corporate doesn't show the employees lot of appreciation. I'm struggling to identify myself with the culture or product to a point that I started resenting it. All lunch breaks with likeminded are always about the same negative stuff, so it's kind of hard to get back into the mindset to make myself wanna stay there longer than necessary. I either wanna switch to a NGO or in an industry that I'm more passionate about :nod (such a millennial lol).

That's interesting, I wasn't aware he's training to become die Polizei. But this info gives me some heads up to prepare some German police jokes, as donutes won't cut it here aha-hahaha

Why you didn't go anywhere this summer other than the fam trip to Belgium, or still going this year fall?
He was posting a ton of stuff from his trip to Bali, ugh. You can find himself yourself, have fun. :wowsoBOB

Sounds kinda like mine, the good weeks are the first and last weeks of the month where it's mostly positive and you can actually make money/ clear accounts. The middle 2 weeks are just dealing with complaints and explaining to grown adults what happens when you don't pay your bills...over and over...again, and that as a business you can't just provide services for months on end without being paid. LOL

For me now I've passed my probation I'll also start looking for different roles within the company as it's a big business, dunno what exactly though. I think the only reason why most of my colleagues are still in the same position is because of the bonus structure, which even if it's tough to get but solely depends on your effort.

An NGO? I didn't take you for the type. Very....modern of you :heh

I feel like I shouldn't have told you anything about Maz. I mean to be fair, he's not as fit as he was when he actively played football ( well, he was also a lot younger) but it does still require some physical training.

Usually I travel with another friend of mine, but they moved away so I'm lazy to plan trips for myself now and I'm particular about people I travel with. I still have about 2 weeks of holidays to use before the end of the year, hopefully I can put together something nice. I really still want to see the northern lights but I also want to go somewhere hot. So....debates...

Yeah, I like to make everyone jealous with my cooking :wowsoBOB

When it's fun, it's really fun. The coolest part honestly are the management team and the colleagues on my team, super chill people, who I can also hang out with outside. It makes even the crappy days worthwhile.

What do you do for a living?

Like I said to Brandish, I've only worked in an actual restaurant once; the rest of the time I worked in hospitality and events. So we often had restaurant style or bar service, or even conference service. It was casual work but I worked for the same agency a lot and for a very long time.

The restaurant I actually worked was during a Champions League final day....2-3 years ago. They just needed extra staff members for that day, it was quite a fancy restaurant that were upcoming and trying to gain a michelin star.

I have worked at a lot of fancy events though from a few champions league final events, olympics, award ceremonies, etc.
Sounds so fancy. :hurr Don't know how someone working at a restaurant resits to steal the food.
Where are you working now by the way?
Why didn't those places take you? did they say? or you just didnt want to do it anymore?
Actually it's pretty common that girls around my age search to work at a bar, coffee shop, restaurant, etc. So they took my solicitudes but never needed more staff, or the places never had enough money to pay the new workers.
I remember going to many places looking for one, even spent entire days looking for food places to ask for work :sweatbunny I got a job for pure luck but it was the contrary of what I was looking for. :XD

Yea you need that teammate atmosphere. Really shows when you come from places that don't, can change your life.

Atm part of an infrastructure team as a project officer. The branch is new so it's interesting.

Ah check my previous post :XD

And what age is that? :heh
I mean when I worked in my previous job, 90% of staff were around the same age (18-23), as that's student age where you need additional income to get by and these sort of jobs come up often and easier to get.
Solicitudes? CV? I remember back when I signed up to my old job, they were much smaller then and didn't have a lot of work to take on new people either, so I didn't hear back from them for like 4 months. Luckily, I had another part time job to get me by.

Where did you end up finding work then? and are you studying? I don't know if I ever asked before....

I mean my previous job was also fun in terms of socialising with people and it was 80% girls, so I'm not complaining. I was just a bit worried I wouldn't be able to find a good group of people when moving to a new place, especially so soon. But we hit it off quite quickly.

Are your projects public funded/ ran or private? and is it planning that you mostly do then?

That sort of work interested me when I was younger, mostly architecture but having to do maths really put me off. So now I'll just admire fancy buildings on IG.

That seems like a fun but difficult ratio tbh. How big was the move, you're in England still?

Projects are public funded (grants or mining royalties). My job is mostly to help project managers atm, a little planning involved.

Yes, it's very hard to manage :wowsoBOB

The biggest change was just in terms of stability of work and career. I haven't moved homes at all, if anything my journey to and from work is easier.

Right. I hear the private sector is where all the money is when it comes to infrastructure? (well, most industries I guess).
Is this a sector you'd like to stay in as a career or is it just for now?

More money and more challenging private, I think. We'll see atm I like it and there's opportunity career-wise. And you?

For now I'll stay where I am and just gain experience. It is a big company and people are constantly moving to different roles so I'll keep an eye out for something that looks interesting to me.

Didn't know you watched bruv...woulda been buggin you from the start xD

Did you like the newest season?

Personally i think they spread it to thin if there's no guarantee of a 4th season.
I liked it but to me too many new ones were introduced innit.

Of course, been waiting 6 years for this 3rd season. We(brits) all have.

Yeah I liked it, though I think the ending wasn't great and Modie's death and general storyline felt rushed.

Would've liked to see the local drug incident dealt with this season against the ZTs but then Sugar could've been left for a s4. Definitely would've kept Modie alive; his character was all kinds of reckless and I loved it lol.

if given the chance, would you:
  • go to a fanmeet of one of your favorite Korean actress?
  • visit South Korea?

Loved his attitude, in and out of prison; he was so unpredictable; especially after the prison attack.

I think Jase's death was just a catalyst to bring Sully and Dushane back together.

Also I couldn't believe those crackheads turned out to be undercover officers! they were so good; really played us; especially after snitching up that David guy who had a stall at the market.

I think they didn't want to bring up too much from the previous seasons and confuse a new audience. So they returned a "core" group of characters and left the rest aside.

I didn't mind the whole Dris thing; especially once it was stated that after Dushane, the crew had gotten weak and he had that stroke. You always try to pick out the weakest of the bunch and that was him.

I don't really care about fanmeets; you most likely wouldn't get close enough to see your favourite celeb. Unless it was a one on one meeting, I'll choose visiting Korea.

And you?

What does fanservice entail? I don't really care about signs/ handshakes. I'm not trying to be friends :wowsoBOB

I'd probably just want to talk for a bit and maybe ask for phone numbers.

Who would you like to meet?

HOLD HANDS? :gwah maybe a hug but damn....

Hmmm I'd definitely not be doing that. korean fans really are different. A photo would be nice, all the other stuff seem like weird requests to me.

Yeah of course, shoot my shot; maybe they'd like my personality and straightforwardness.

A lot of k-pop idols then. Mine would include more actresses I guess. You've seen my list :wowsoBOB

Bo Young and Elijah, Go Eun, Shin Min A, Min Young, etc. There's a lot :faint
