Question, why did rwby had phyrra dreams at the start of volume 4? normally the answer would be trauma of course but there is something that sort of seems weird in her dreams. You have a rwby dream with phyrra screaming for jaune.... But that... never happened. Phyrra didn't die screaming for jaune. Unless rwby only dreamed that because of jaune playing the video.

Let's not forget that Ruby may have some Pyrrha inside of her.. She becomes a dust so Ruby could inhale some of this

For me it was probably because of Jaune playing video I can tell from experience that sometimes when I sleep and TV is on I can hear it.. << I'm a weirdo

Of course they can build-up something from it but for now, it was because of Jaune playing that Video

And yea, that would be a pain if Pyrrha comes back. Though, if she does come back as a Grimm (which is very unlikely to me), I wonder how would that impact the show as a whole, especially if this happens later down the line. How would Jaune and the rest of his team react? What about team RWBY, etc.

Adam escaping was bit predictable. Though he should have lost most of his support.

I wouldn't expect anyone to make a return as a grimm tbh. So far grimm are barely humanoid for the most part and the big exception would be the rider that killed ren's family. Since salem controls grimm maybe she can make them specifically to screw with people though I have no idea of how she would even know about phyrra. And that is assuming she has that much control over grimm to begin with. If phyrra ever returns I would argue it would be because ozpin has time manipulation powers for some reason and as we all know time related powers easily break plots all the time. Barring that I expect phyrra to remain 100% dead.

Not sure of how to explain it but the earlier volumes the music in fights usually really stood out and added to the fights a lot. In turn since volume 4, with a couple exceptions, it kinda seems like music is more generic or... it makes less of an impact somehow. Anyone else got that impression?

I noticed this too. So far the only scenes in Volume 5 that have made good use of music are the Cinder vs Raven fights and the ending of episode 14. Blake vs Ilya didn't even get any music undertones

Not Vocal ones there was Smile and small piece of Red like Roses part II in this one ( + one other ) but as I said no vocal

Tbh I would love for both Ilia and Sun ( << He really grow on me.. in this Volume top 6 ) stay in Mistral and help protect and stabilize situation there with Ghira, Kali and new WF and build that trust between Humans and Faunus..

Sun is also a team leader and his team is about to return also it was him always saying " Why not do that with your team/friends " so if he just choose from current state to just follow Blake and not contact his family/friends is OOC ( Personal opinion ) + Haven is still unprotected and Sun is a Hunstmen from Mistral << But I don't mind him back in Vacuo and finally get to know more about him

Without Ilia and Sun, we have 9 characters ( 11 if they come along ) + Winter and others that will become important in Atlas and let's be honest it's not a small number

I think the fandom is gotten a bit toxic ever since volume 4 came out (for good and bad reasons), but slowly becoming a vocal point. All the people complaining for petty reasons like LGBT and shipping do piss me off. I wouldn't mind if they complain that the writing isn't good or the animation isn't great, but for something so trivial as that is annoying to read through.

Honestly I liked the reunion and that it was concentrated on team RWBY ( And I'm a BB trash ) as a whole ( Of course Yang and Blake was the center of it but it was Blake reuniting with everyone, not one person ) and the talk between them will come to the problem here is >>> Watch my respond to @Elusia

I honestly hope that Aside from Renora no one from team RWBY or Jaune will end up in romantic relationships until vol. 8/9 or even later I don't mind they dropping some small Romantic Hints but nothing something that they will speed up just to please the fanbase.

And here on side note: Blake and Sun have two perfect scenes to kiss in this Volume but they don't which I highly approve even if Eclipse is the end game Blake have more important stuff to do than being in Romantic relationships with Sun they can develop that slowly while Blake will do her job with her team.

Considering that Sun is the only character that has any ties with Vacuo he probably gets his own small Arc there..

You just hating his ass with passion don't ya? I will admit that I didn't like Sun at all until Vol.4 Chapter 11 and his talk with Blake and since then he just getting better and better in my eyes

Not a bit by a huge margin tbh... ( But it happens almost in every fandom.. )

Aside from what you said I would also add here that people expect something to Happen in next Chapter(s) and when something that was in they Mind won't happen they shit on RWBY and Crew that is working on this show as a whole That's a real f@ckin ( ) problem..

And the Things that that some people expect for example Reunion: " Yang Punching Blake " wtf and later some are salty that it didn't happen on a Side note I don't mind Yang accepting Blake back so fast ( I can explain ) and she may be more forgiving towards Blake than some people thinks..


You can dislike things or something there are things in this Volume that I have really disliked also for example that constantly switch focus from fight to another fight or just being cut out from fight ( It was the first time we got Ruby calling team attack " Checkmate " and we are cut out from it Asap ) or how some characters are fighting like they have forgotten completely they own style ( Mercury, Blake, Ruby, Weiss )

I also didn't like ( or I think it would be better ) if we haven't seen every convo, for example, I think that Blake and Ilia scene from episode 8 or Raven & Cinder Agree to lure Qrow and Co. into trap would have much bigger impact if we didn't have all info about this events.

But it doesn't take overall satisfaction that I'm having from watching RWBY and I don't attack people from RT or VA because I didn't enjoy something in Particular..

And if someone doesn't find anything that he enjoys in RWBY ( or any different show ) and picking all things on the episode and saying it's Shite my question is why someone like that is even wasting his time and taking overall enjoyment from people that enjoy the show with his toxic behaviour. There's a huge difference between stating your personal opinion and just being a Dick ( << Just to be sure I don't mean anyone here )

I agree about sun, I didn't like him until relatively recently. Heck, I didn't like him until the events at the belladona's attempted murder. Right before that I found him to be mostly unnecessary, then he went to vaguely amusing during his fight in volume 3, then kinda creepy in volume 4 (he followed blake and stayed hidden way longer than he should have and spied on blake's conversation with her dad) and then kinda mostly useful when it came to the murder attempt. I do think his fighting style is cool though, without a doubt his most redeemable feature (I loved the status chart with "the return of the gunchucks: The gunchukening").

To me it is so weird to read someone suggesting the show might be homophobic or have gender issues... I mean, it's fairly clear the show takes a stance in favor of minorities and civil rights and whatnot. I won't claim to know everything about those things but people complaining about stuff like that in this show would seem to have the rare combination of not watching the show and also not having ever read anything ever about those issues....

So... what does salem's monologue in the first episode mean "men, born from dust". If we take dust to mean, well, dust as the energy source then this is actually a huge detail.

Oh yeah, I did read that. Grim merging definitely has some potential for new and powerful enemies based on old ones. I guess it depends on how exactly it is done. On the other hand grim are too much like bleach hollows as it is, I guess they can't take it too far without it being blatant plagiarism lol. And since learning they were two combined grim I have wanted to see what each looks like individually. The horseman would be humanoid which is rather unusual so far.
