Pretty solid start :\m/
Episode 1:
  • Man the animation has once again stepped up. They are really pushing the Maya engine to the limit, im impressed.
  • Great oneshot scene at the beggining.
  • Battle choreography is better, but the shaky camera work is still present.
  • Liked the battles, new chimera grimm look pretty dope.
  • Some funny moments in there that are a bit reminiscent of the old days.
  • Qrow taking a small L during the last battle :arf fuuc ..... well it was a small L, the finisher with him and Ruby was awesome
  • Blake trying not to be blakey and awkward
  • Jaune is useful. Pretty cool use of Ren's powers in a combo with Jaune's
  • All in all awesome final battle thats actually kinda reminiscent of volume 1 and volume 2. Major plus there.
  • Oz with some "shady" shit once again. When will he actually tell the whole story dammit.
  • Looking at the opening the little granny thats the new character is kinda hinted to have Silver eyes :hmmkinda. But i bet she knows stuff about them. I hope we will finally get more intel about the eye powers
  • RWBY + Qrow and OZ + Granny ending up in the middle of nowhere. TIme for a journey
  • The opening is pretty lit, but why is it focusing mainly on the first episode battle. I get the feeling we wont even see half of Atlas by the time this volume ends. I guess another volume 4 transition arc is at hand.
  • Music is great and the insert song of Casey is amazing as always.
7/10 Solid start

  • .... oh almost forgot. Weiss best girl all day any day :hip

Like the episode. They managed hit a lot of points I think fans have been complaining about or were worried would be forgotten with the new volume. Will post more thoughts after I go get groceries.
