Feels like Shin's going to be crazy strong in crowds. He may not be able catch Order level opponents directly (as far as we know), but he can improvise like Sakamoto in a more unique way.

Hmm, this was a fun little diversion, but it doesn't really feel like Shin actually learned anything or progressed in this section. He just suddenly got in the groove and beat up Jo. I really don't understand his earlier performance against him and Boiled. I guess we could chalk it up to a Nakama power up, but eh, I wish it was done better.
Hopefully we get something a bit more tangible in the next couple of levels. I was thinking about Club Jam recently and he could give Shin some ideas on how to improve the directions he gives using his control abilities probably.

I suppose. It's not like that wasn't a thing he already did before though. That something he already concluded in the JAA exams when he fought against Toramaru in the jungle.
Like I mentioned, my main gripe is more about he had issues with Boiled and Jo and then suddenly didn't. Jo was still his physical superior supposedly, but then Shin was able to beat him down. Without the gloves no less. It'd have been different if the progression was rearranged:
Like if Shin fought Jo hand to hand first and is overpowered, then he uses his abilities to cause the black out, then the fight is ended with Shin using the chain mind control to crush Jo under the containers.

A bit convenient that Shin used his telepathy to sus out that Tenkyu was telling the truth about his friend but somehow wasn't able to see that his friend was Uzuki, but hey, plot is plot. Tenkyu is pretty cool so far. Certainly wasn't expecting a nudist archer.
I want to say it's a misdirect and it may be Heisuke or even Tenkyu, but at the same time, last arc we had the situation with Gaku and Nagumo where it was super obvious that Nagumo made the switch and it seemed like it was leading to something significant, but it was just played straight. So I don't know at this point honestly.
This chapter gives us more context to what Torres was initially critiquing Sakamoto about. He really did view Sakamoto's improv style as a weakness since most assassins in this world choose one weapon/focus and hone them to their peak. However, he's surprised and impressed by the simple tasks the Sakamoto family does, more specifically, the ability to multitask with no real effort and, if I'm reading the scene with Hana right, the ability to replicate something "complex" without rigorous training.
What we saw here was techically Aoi's specialty, with Sakamoto helping out. I think we're leading up to him using conveniece store items as his main "weapon" due to his familiarity with them.

Interesting, but Sakamoto changing his style like that would be weird... Torres can say whatever he wants, I don't see how his fighting style is a weakness.

I don't think he's completely correct in his assertions nor do I view it as a weakness either, but I can see where Torres is coming from.
Sakamoto excels in improvisation and adaptation and he can make the most out of what he's given, but, as Torres implied, there is a bit of luck involved in relying on that style of fighting. For the upcoming challenges ahead, he needs a reliable constant to supplement his fighting style.
Maybe I'm missing something, but she should still be able to foresee the future right? Feels like this whole luck meter thing is a completely separate ability. Otherwise, she's not really a fortune teller, just someone who uses future luck to be fortunate in the moment.
Shin killing Tenkyu definitely isn't happening, but he's going to come close enough I imagine. I also saw some people theorize that Shin is going to be taken back to Slur's gang and we'll get a follow up to Haruma recognizing him back during the Art Gallery Raid.

Hmmm, I guess she has foresight and has the ability to use someone's luck. When she gives advice to a client so that he can avoid something bad, she is draining the client's personal luck?

Tenkyu still awesome. Good chapter.
With Torres here, Shin will be able to avoid killing.
Didn't expect Torres to pop up, but at the same time, it makes so much sense, lol.
And yeah, Torres should bail Shin out. But Torres is going to expect something in return. I wonder if this is the last bit of luck that Atari was referring to. Or if she's going to use this last bit of luck to have Torres assist Shin.

Always enjoy a good Shin chapter, but this just makes me wonder why the whole "Order Level Physique" thing was even bought up at the start of this arc. Yeah, Shin is using his telepathy to "outspeed" Tenkyu, but his regular physical strength still seems to be good enough to injure him, even without his tech gloves.

Whew, that's quite the upgrade. I've gotta admit, this was a pretty good swerve we got in regards to his control ability. I also find it hilarious that Shin's power up routine ended up being the same as Sakamoto's.
I wonder if Tenkyu is going to end up passing along some techniques or tips to Heisuke as he's the only one who hasn't benefited from this little field trip.
I also wonder if Sakamoto is actually there or not. Could be a side effect of him pushing his mind to the limit and he's hallucinating.
Yeah didn't expect Heisuke to get a shot at Torres.
I guess it makes sense as Heisuke's skills in sniping has always been highlighted as Order level (given he's a better shot than Sakamoto and was keeping up with Kamihate fairly early on), but at the same time, he's still shown to be not on the level alongside Shin a lot of times. I guess this fight is going to moreso highlight how much Piisuke can boost his effectiveness given Atari's words.
