I'm probably minority here, considering how much fan Jirou seems to have. But Shukuchihou seems to render Volley pretty useless. Moreover, Kai also had mountain training compare to U-17 training, which seems to give more result. I'm giving this one to Kai. Jirou's score just isn't something I see boasting about. And I feels National! Kikumaru can steals more than 1 game from Fuji (3 counter), too.

As Ken said, Magic Volley isn't that good, and even though Kai isn't that great, Shukuchihou should be able to deal with it. Viking Horn might also trip up Jirou a bit.

I'm going 6-4 Kai.

Moreover, Kai also had mountain training compare to U-17 training, which seems to give more result.

We don't know if that's true, Atobe didn't go to the mountain and improved a lot comparing to others. Sakata got zig zag ,Kenya learnt how to balance, Gakuto learnt how to jump lower... and they all went to the mountain. Mountain players had more screen time, that's all.

And I feels National! Kikumaru can steals more than 1 game from Fuji (3 counter), too.

It's a pity that this is Jirou vs Kai and not Fuji vs Kikumaru lol

Shukuchihou is not useless. Jirou haven't shown ability to hit to control his shot that precisely, at all. Jirou can't volley and do a drop shot against Kai. We don't even knows if Jirou can handle viking horn. Jirou is very much overrated.

Technically, Fuji was screwing around and let Jirou win a service game. Sure, the set score was 6-1, but we all know that it was a bagel and probably a golden set as well.

I understood you, but that's comparing too much. The question you should be doing is: Do you see KAI winning ANY games against Reg! Fuji? Personally, I don't.

Although Shukuchihou is only in one plane it's still going to neutralize the vast majority moves that relies on hitting the ball to somewhere you're not. Magic Volley definitely seems to fall under that category. Looking at how it's depicted, it seems like someone near the net standing around the middle can easily hit them all back if he got there on time, and someone with Shukuchihou will always get there on time.

Fair point, but all in all, so far, we have seen the Losers improve much more. Let's be honest.

True. As Kai's Shukuchihou is countered by aiming at the sides, Jirou could just do his Magic volley in a corner (diagonally) and Kai won't be able to use it. Kai and Kikumaru are in the same level, and I see Jirou defeating Kikumaru and Kai. He should be able to eventually return Viking Horn.

6-4 to Jirou.

Hirakoba is an okay version.

Chinen - Gimp Kite at 90 lbs and mentally disabled
Rin - Kite with Giant Habu

So really, Rin is the closest one to being less Kite than the rest because he has his own technique.

Oh god... I hope Saeki will have some more screentime. He's my fav characters from Rokkaku. Too bad about him, really. Saeki+Fuji would be pretty fun team to watch, strength exclude.

Loved Saeki. Would have thrown in him in my fav characters had he not been weaker than Fuji Yuuta in Singles.
Which is why I can't complain about him not coming to the camp. He wasn't even Top two in Rokkaku. Amane and Kurobane were even ahead of him.
Such a shame that such a cool guy could suck so bad.
