the thing about the dislike was just a sarcasm about not having any chapter.

According to this (December-release January issue line-up and then January-release February issue line-up on the official site), it doesn't look like it. :/

Super Smash 4 releases shortly before the December issue and now we don't have a new chapter for 2 months...
Coincidence? I think not!

Still sucks though.

So yeah, as usual? We get our chapter around the 7th~8th. They would have told in advance if they cancelled a chapter.

dont know why comics are labeled the same way since they arent actually news and what not.
like entertainment weekly...where you hear of upcoming events in the upcoming month.i understand it then..
but why mangas...they are current in events...always puzzled me...but im only a simple man

Well that's interesting. It's true last month's issue says continued in February but I wonder why SNK isn't in the official table of contents listed for February issue then.

Actually, pretty sure this is due to that the manga came out every 2 months instead of every month back in the early days. The issue where that changed kinda messed the dating up.

In the states at least, the reason why the comics are labled a month ahead is so that the store owners know when to pull them from the racks.

But I just came across a scenario that never got answered.

If we were to take Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin and add him to the Scouting Legion, have him graduate with Eren and the others....

Would his presence be enough to change some things given his skill with swords?

Spoiler: Ugh, upon rereading I realize...

Not only was Ymir responding to Bert's "Somebody please find us!" from a couple of chapters back (as I've pointed out in the past), but maybe she really intends to "give back" what she stole, meaning she's willing to let them have a mindless titan eat her to advance the Warrior cause? Would be better if she was willing to join them herself but her titan might not be the type they're looking for.

What I don't get is what she meant about playing goddess. And what did she steal? The injection? That gave her a weak titan? It seems like she could only revert after eating that shifter guy.

I've always believed Ymir was referring to being like "Goddess" Krista. Now I also think she specifically meant that in the sense not of just being a "saviour" figure, but of sacrificing herself for others' sake. :/

I'm not sure what other interpretations people might have though...

Not that I could find but some might have it. They're technically omake though. Those tend to appear inconsistently on reader sites, if at all.

Japanese manga seem to be pretty heavy with instances of Gods judging and doling out human punishment. Maybe when she's talking about being a goddess, she's means that she want the power of a god, which would be to create a place like the area within the walls, and to manipulate memory. In a way, the coordinate power makes the Reiss family "gods." Remember that the titan Ilse Langner encountered called Ilse "Ymir-Sama," so I think "playing god" is like having the coordinate.

With regards to what she "stole" I always assumed that she had stolen Berik/Marcel's powers, and was somehow planning on giving it back? Maybe she's talking about B/M's memories? Seems doubtful she'd go along with a plan that would put her own life at risk, but I think somehow she plans to give back either Marcel's titan power, or Marcel's memories. Either that or she plans to somehow make up for eating B/M by taking his place in the "Warriors" organization.

I think what she meant is that she wants to sacrifice her life for others, and be a savior of some sort, kinda like Krista. The latter was often called Goddess by others like Sasha in this instance
I think that's where the Goddess thing comes from, but of course Krista doesn't really exist.It's just a role that Historia was playing.I wonder how Ymir would feel about that.

I have been wondering.... Remember earlier in the manga when it was explained that 250000 people or so were sent on a expedition to regain the outer wall? As far as we know they lost and were all eaten. Now, I understand that titans are almost impossible to defeat but how exactly did this work? We are talking about 250000 people here, its a rather large number of people. So.... they really couldn't take the walls back with that effort? I understand titans are basically impossible to fight against under normal conditions but in any scenario it seems weird that the result was just this 250000 people dying and just that.How many titans were there at shiganshina and surrounding areas? We know titans are attracted to people but its not like there are literally swarms of them. The highest number of titans we have seen, and only when specifically called is around 30. So.... You have 250000 completely expendable people fighting, say, hundreds of giants, and you get nothing to show for the expedition at all? Even if there were a couple thousand titans you still outnumbered them by a couple hundred to one. People don't have extremely advanced technology and hardly anyone can even use the 3d gear but under the scenario of expendable people wouldn't there be some form to deal with titans? For the amount of titans we have seen, how long would it take for 250000 people to die? Most titans can't even move at night... How long would it take for titans to eat 250000 people?

So... you have 250000 completely expendable people, a specific time at which titans are consistently useless and with the scouting legion you have a group of people that can consistently kill titans, even at night. Now, it is kinda up there whether anything they could build to cover the hole in the wall would actually keep titans out but given the circumstances does it not seem like they should have gotten something more out of this than just 250000 people dying? You don't even need to cover both holes to recover the wall, only the one that reyner made. Its a matter of getting the materials to cover the holes to the outer wall and then working at night. Titans are attracted to people so before dawn you'd need to get the people away from the hole so that they don't gather there during the day. Which should be fairly easy to do with horses. Well, maybe my speculation is too optimistic but still... Even traveling at night should be doable with proper mapping and familiarity with the terrain.
