Shounen Soul Eater by OOKUBO Atsushi

[Koen]

Thanks for the translations Zoe ! I only read them online on onemanga though, so I've only read them up to chapter 24. It's a bit sad to see that this series is not more popular...

I totally agree with you, but good zoe is picking it up (at least trans are also used, so at least there's scanned stuff) and I am sure with the anime the interest in the manga soul eater will grow

but you're right scans should be up-to-date, btw chapter 24 came out and the end is making the whole plot interesting

---

Another great chapter

Spoiler

a new ennemy, witch arachne has been revived. Sister of medusa with an own organization. Reading the words of shinigami, this is something that can't be linked with the reviving of the kishin atm. Wonder if they'll coorporate together to destroy shibusen

[Gekkani]

I'm still struggling to find chapters beyond 26, especially since it randomly got licenced thus preventing onemanga putting any new chapters up >.<

Curse my impatientness.

[Zoe]

Haha, licensing doesn't stop OneManga.

27 has been released by Mahou-X. It's not up there yet though.

[Koen]

Curse my impatientness.

well translations have been made public by nagumo while zoe was already doing public translations

so I wouldn't be suprised if Manga Editors would release soul eater faster

[Gekkani]

I forgot just about every manga I read is licenced >>;

And yes translation has randomly sped up, as about 3-4 chapters went up today.

[Koen]

yes and let's hope the scan will come out at that fast trans pace too

anyway soul eater is great. Good to know more about that mifune, imo he's a really loyal but also good guy

[Shrimp]

Of course Mifune's a nice guy, I'm sure he'll eventually end up really being a teacher at shibusen ! (and little Angela will become a very good friend of Maka) After all, there's already a witch there, despite the hate-hate relationship in place (well ok it's not a witch, just some really powerful cat :P)

[Koen]

Well I have been wondering if there'll be some other truth behin the cat. For me it's obvious she looks like a witch in her human form but prolly lied to soul and maka for some reasons.

I don't know for sure but just a powerfull cat?

Ney, I'm pretty sure Soul's saying "TEH SURGE OF POWAAAAAAAH!....isn't there" confirms she wasn't just lying about not being a witch.

[Koen]

Might be but on the other hand she picked up that sexy fight against that other witch. Okay it was comedy but on the other you can never know what a witch is capable of

I am not 100% sure though I am never

[haya5h1]

maybe a cat's soul has a different power from a human soul?

and before the fight turned into a girlfight, Blair was showing some really leet fighting and magic skilz while still a kitty. I dunno, I read the 29 chapters out so far really fast, so I'm not actually sure what the main difference is between the soul of a witch and the soul of an animal with magic powers.

Same over here too, read much and fast so I forget often things

anyway chapter 30 came out and it seems arachne and medusa don't have good relationship towards each other

more suspicion and finally kid back in action

---

Since I think it's their case, I don't feel to make a Edited Manga thread and steal off the show. So I hope mahou-x makes a scan thread asap

but chapter 32 is out their_torrent

enjoy this great chapter for three things

Spoiler

1. Kid wants to know more about eibon and it seems the book he wanted to borrow, is borrowed by medusa,
2. The special assignment to justing
3. Is chrona and her crazyness coming back?

[Gekkani]

I think it is more like Chrona is being torn between living happily with "her" new friends, or "her" duty to "her" bitch of a "mother".

Personally I hope it all turns out well for Chrona because I like "her".

On another note, CURSE YOUR QUESTIONABLE GENDER!

[haya5h1]

ROFL. Well, the fact that Maaya Sakamoto has been cast as "her" seems to answer the gender question... or add to the confusion?

Spoiler: slightly OT

(and OK I find it hilarious that Death the Kid's seiyuu is Tamaki from Ouran. Chrona x Kid = OTP!<3

[Koen]

forum

soul eater 33 came out, it's on their forum but you should register/log on do get them

it's really great - team soul resonance traing

and arachne making a new move

[Shake]

I wonder if that deer that black star saw in his innerself (or other place to space out with your soul) is another soul. Black star+ 2 souls= madeness .

Well tsubaki referred that black start got to feel another soul that has been passed over generations (or at least something like that)

I am looking forward to the team soul resonance result

[Shake]

Chapter 34 is out, like the guy with the barrels on his hand

[Koen]

Chapter 34 is out, like the guy with the barrels on his hand

Well this chapter is a set-up to something big. Since shinigami-sama is there

I love the setting of that place they entered

[Zoe]

For anybody who doesn't follow the Gangan thread, we finally have chapter 44!
