Didn't they explain that warriors are vanguard / tanks? While heroes would be the warriors from D&D (melee atk units). Granted I didn't read the new chapter yet so I might lack context @_@

I don't remember that, but Warriors are indeed vanguards. It's just that in action, I don't see the difference between Himmel and Eisen. The only thing that stands out is that Eisen is a tank. But what makes Himmel the Hero? Just charisma?

I see him as offense, like Frieren. Melee tho, and I guess human magic maybe didn't use to be so unproportional but an elven one would maybe make a melee offense look silly later on. Well, again I'm thinking of D&D lmao, but maybe as a leader he's also the tactical and booster of the party? I see hero as a class cause they've mentioned other heroes on the series as well.

More Ubel x Land ship tease . I like that rivalry between the Empire and the CMA. Considering Ubel's personality I thought she wouldn't be good as a spy, but since they are new 1st Class Mages, I guess the Empire doesn't know them, unlike Sense, Genau etc. Plus Land's magic is pretty good for this. He can calm her down too. So, along with the Shadow Warriors we can see new powerful Mages.

Stark is a kemonomimi enjoyer . He is right that Fern looks good with them.

Certain placements are shocking but I am pleasantly surprised to see that Macht and Solitaar got top 10 placements without appearing in the anime.

The Empire is pretty much what Serie would like. They are specialized in combat.

That Empire guy probably uses familiars or something? Ubel lost but she will obviously be able to destroy the carriage and the ropes with Reelseiden.

When he blinded her, she said that it disabled her mana detection as well so there is more to it.

Good to see Gluck and Denken again. Even Macht.

Kanone is a girl after all, I am a bit surprised by that. Frase is the woman who killed(?) Land's mom.

So I just finished the El Dorado arc, and I’m upset. Upset because it ended! Srsly, the arc was so good. I was actually rooting for Macht and Solitar because I wanted them to be long-term characters. Macht’s ending was good tho. He didn’t achieve his objective and I kno the msg is Demons are Demons and that’s their nature, but he definitely felt something based on how he responded to the citizens while dying, enjoyed fighting his pupil, Denken, and subconsiously heading toward his partner, Gluck, in his final moments. Also, I owe an apology to Denken, I was familiar with his game and still did not think he'd win, but he came through. His grittiness is unmatched. Lastly, sad that Solitar died, felt she'd be good long-term. Schlatt mentioned Demonkind's future, and I think she felt like a natural fit for leading the progression and evolution of demons.

My only complaint of the series is a surprising one. I find the art to be dull at times. Surprising because the colored illustrations and covers are absolutely beautiful. However, the fights are rather stiff and I don't find the art very expressive for the characters, usually they maintain the same expression and not many impactful close-up shots. Tho I did really like Serie's when she fought Macht.

Yes, Macht was awesome. The fact that he stayed Top 10 in the popularity poll without anime boost says a lot .

Hmmm, after finishing the Goddess Monument arc, I feel even more strongly that Solitar should've survived and been a long-term character.

it is amazing how a story that is basically finished, without any grand scheme, no huge plot line, could be that pleasant to read. It is a breathe of fresh air in each chapter... getting me out of the drug addict mode I'm in with the other series...

The Ende stuff and whatever Tot did and Sein's quest to find out what happened to Gorilla Warrior and now that Shadow Warrior story are rather big IMO but I get what you mean.

Why Frieren chapters publications are so irregular? Does anyone know the reason?
I've heard the author has some mental health issues but could never find the source, actually i don't even know if the author is a woman or an old man. But Frieren is so popular and with so many fans around the world that i find it really strange to see a manga of this magnitude been published like this with so many pauses and long hiatus.
The last time i saw a manga/ka with this irregular schedule was Kentaro Miura who died later and the TerraFormars mangaka that came back after 2 years of hiatus and went on hiatus again... i don't even want to talk about Togashi... Even Nakaba Suzuki is sick now

The writer and the artist are both men. I don't know why he takes so many breaks but it probably doesn't affect the popularity of the series. In fact, maybe he can take these breaks because the manga is that popular.

Stark is considered pretty strong even by these Shadow Warriors. His only problem is his mindset. Minus and Wehrloss feel like "evil versions" of Serie and Eisen.

I think she is an unofficial one because people are mostly unaware of her. She is popular because she was the Mage of Himmel's party.
