Well it looks like Fern and Stark DID dance again so I'm taking that as a win for me

You guys think something will happen to Serie? I think she is so far in the powerscale and Frieren is so confident about it that there's close to 0 chance for something to happen to her, maybe we can see some badass move from her? At the same time I feel like this is a good oportunity to try something and I hope they manage to do something. I'm not big fan but this setup is definitely really interesting to me and i'm just hoping for a change of pace or a little of shock value that can elevate the manga.

I am like Frieren, I can't imagine Serie dying, she is way too strong. The Shadow Warriors haven't shown that they are that great yet. But with a proper plan it's feasible theoretically.

If she does die I think it'll be because of one of her students or Frieren/Fern. Serie dying trying to save Fern, the next greatest Human Mage of this generation or Frieren, the disciple of her beloved Flamme seems fitting.

I wouldn't bet on her death though, despite the flags.

Storywise I can't seem them just writing Serie out like this, but admittedly she serves very little purpose in the plot with the Party. That and these Shadow Warriors are having trouble with the Party so I doubt they could handle Serie.

But if the author did really to shake things up, this would indeed shake things up

It would’ve been nice if Land & Übel didn’t blow their cover. Then maybe we could’ve had contrasting imagery of their dance.

But I think they’ll expand Land/Übel’s first go-around anyways.

I don't think Serie will die but that 1st class mage who asked for a magic to imitate her voice will take her place. That's my guess for this arc.
Serie is the opposite of Frieren. While Serie is the personification of what eternal life does to people she is also pratically invincible, even when concealing her mana Serie's magic poll is equivalent to when Frieren revealed her true power to Aura, so if Serie dies it will be because she wanted to.
Frieren on the other hand is more aware of her weakness and lack or certain skills that's why she is not afraid or have any pride that stop her from asking for help, contrary to Serie who is a battle maniac and likes to fight alone Frieren is more cool headed and have more dynamic in group. Imo, Frieren will save Serie and somehow she will learn something from this arc.
Dude i shipping Land and Übel so hard rn, the savage dog and her tutor with the leash, i think their battle will be the start of the events.
I missed this manga so much, i just hope we don't have 1 more chapter and another 7 months hiatus...

Cool action focused chapter. Land is more brutal than I expected and Team Serie has intel about their opponents, unlike the Shadow Warriors.
