Well it's the Kinnikuman series.
I've never even seen/done the first Chinyuuki (the one that was in Jump in the early 90s), so that's probably a negative for now. Sort of want to just stick with my series for the moment...which reminds me: starting the next Wingman vol. today.
Not really a prequel: Chinyuuki is the original series, lasted a few years in Jump.

To tell the truth...I doubt it. It was a great story on it's own, but it's really hard to imagine if/how a series could be created out of it. (unless he's somehow supernaturally gifted with words instead of just using them to draw out crooks like in this one-shot) If it is, I probably may not mind seeing it and may give a chance in picking it up but as is...it was still a fun one-shot.

Well that reveals that. I'm trying to answer the questions but who knows if they'll be the right things to say or do. But hey...at least I'm trying.
The weird stupid stuff has been Kinnikuman trademarks since...well, probably the beginning. But the amount of real stupidity in this arc, from at least the Hell Missionaries/Choujin Teacher/Student Combo fight on has just been beyond ridiculous. And the friendship bullcrap...yeah I get it, heroes are usually allies, but the ways they try to promote or punish it in this arc just gets on my nerves. (it probably wasn't too bad when Brocken/Wolf surrendered after the Perfect Choujin invade and ask Buffaloman and Mongolman to get them out, but every other fight has just been...yeesh) I like the series, but I do acknowledge that most of it was made up as Yudetamago went along.
