It gets better. And not just the art.

Comedic would've been better, but One Piece really doesn't get comedic throughout time.
Just more bad-ass, action and drama-filled. There's room for a lot of comedic moments, but it definitely gets less.

I didn't know you haven't read one peace..gnut..welcome to the club..neither have I..i dropped it twice though..the firt time was because..of the art..second time it was getting interesting, but slowing had other priorities on the to do list take its place..now..I figured it's too long to read..even though I have access to the volumes..

i agree...i will always have a special place in my heart for it
but since then,i've graduated to seinens.....besides naruto,the only shonens i read are bloody
claymore and shingeki...that's it

shonens have to have a "uniqueness" to it for me to really get into it....gore and tragedy is a start

HxH has plenty of good kills.

Needing blood and gore and wanting to read seinen doesn't really mix well with me.
It's like saying you want some educational horror movie.

don't tell me what i like...i told you....
shingeki was right up my alley as far as a shonen goes...the last was claymore...
everything else has been gory,bloody seinens...or just dark,wack jobs
like homuculus,shigurui,shamo,uzumaki,etc...
i don't read a lot of shonen..........
