My translaton, before your answer, was "Dooing", because in italian is very similar to "Booing", but i'm not a genius to translate the sfx (in truth i'm really bad in this, probably i'm the worst!). I understand why you don't translate the sfx, and i agree with your position about this, but my nakama "Cipo", a Manga Editor that use my trad, is a great balle-breaker and he want all the sfx of the chapter! XD

Ehm... well, if a RAW comes out when I'm, like, at work... or lessons... or on holiday without internet... or whatever... then, shockingly enough, I do the translation afterwards

But so far, there hasn't been much problem. (Although I do tend to have abnormally long Fridays recently, since I get up early to catch the RAWs as they appear, and then stay up most of the night because I still have translating/procrastinating/talking-to-people-online to do... But THAT'S WHAT ENERGY DRINKS ARE FOR!) Oh, and I suppose Sket Dance counts as an ongoing "problem with my translation schedule" inasmuch as I FAIL SO MUCH AT GETTING UP-TO-DATE ~_~

Lord knows how being in Japan will affect my schedule, though...

a question..
how long do you think for a novice like me to at least able to read shounen manga and understand (70% of it) without going into any classes.. just study online..
is it possible?

and a prediction question...
how many one piece chapter left for it to arrive at one piece? for me its still like 200-300 chapter more..

*shrug* I s'pose that depends entirely on how much work you put into it, not to mention how quick you are at picking it up, and so on. Personally, I'd always recommend going in for the classes, or at least picking up a proper textbook. These things exist for a reason - it's always much easier to learn things the proper way. (Besides, it also depends hugely upon the shonen manga ~_~ Some of them are generally ridiculously simple, whereas some of them even I can have trouble deciphering ~~)

Well now I feel vaguely bad... well there is this feint, feint feeling that I seem to remember having felt before. I'm guessing it's guilt but I could just have wind.

Seriously though I don't actually know what to say to that we could continue down the road which could possibly lead to more guilt on my part and potential embarassment on yours or we could just forget it was ever mentioned. I'm actually very very good with this type of thing though (girl trouble, girl hunting etc etc).

But, yeh, *changes topic* so you're not pale like almost dead, eh? Interesting!

It's probably lack of proper effort! 98% of the time it's lack of proper effort (I admit to plucking the 98% out of nowhere but I use it to illustrate most of the time). My brother and his friends had a very particular science when it came to females and being one myself I have the inside track. Plus, we're alot less superficial than boys are (well from about 18+) so ugliness doesn't cut it as an excuse...

All the better, teenage girls loooove bastards! Hell most don't grow out of it or have it lying dormant someplace inside of them. If you were ugly on the inside you should have been walking with a limp basically everyday from when you were around 16.

well, will smith talks about something that is very true... Men need to be confident.
And I can tell thats true based on myself. Untill 17 I was very unconfident and it just fucked up with me... and it comes with the thought: "I am different. I am romantic, I am not a jerk as other guys are" etc

I don't know if thats ur case or anyones here, but if I could tip someone is to be confident.
