Haha i wondered why it was today, i was positive their match was tomorrow. xD

Football, it was nice knowing you. We had some ups and downs, some great moments and some sad. You've been with me for a long time, but its goodbye....unless anyone is willing to break Barcelonas first teams legs? :neutral

*ahem*

So yeah, the knockout phase looks promising. I'm looking forward to the 1st leg of the Milan x Spurs game. Chelski got an easy draw. )= Munich will beat Inter. Rafa's done a crap job so far. Overall, I like the fixture list. There'll definitely a couple of exciting games to watch. *Hopefully*

I like this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Utb-coxjkK8&feature=player_embedded

Not sure how it works over there, but can he get in trouble for his comments?
Probably not, Fifa and platini bashing is a part time sport played by a lot of people here. :p And holloway is known for his er.. forthright attitude. Not long ago he had a great rant at Rooney. They will just overlook it. The FA i believe doesnt give a hoot about what people say in regards to Fifa or Uefa. The only time the FA take action is when someone criticises the referees or says something controversial that the media blow up into insertname-gate (which is about a couple of times a year).
-_-

Holloway is a legend.

All but three fixtures in the Premiership got called off this weekend thanks to the snow. Whilst the Championship carried on regardless. Proof if ever it was needed that the Championship is full of hard b******s and if your club was ever unfortunate enough to get relegated to it, promotion might not be a given. And the best bit? Ipswich didn't even bother remove the snow from the pitch.

European Cup matchups
Arsenal: I genuinely feel sorry for them. If anything Barcelona are better than they were last season
Chelsea: I call shenanigans on this draw. How'd Chelsea get the easiest team left in the competition. Although based on their current form they could still cock it up.
Man U: Meh. They'll breeze through. There's something about this current crop of players who might be the weakest squad they've had since 1993.
Tottenham: I'm conflicted on this one. It's a team of OAP's who are top of Serie A. It should be relatively easy. But this is Tottenham we're talking about.

I really hope Arsenal beats Barcelona, although it seems pretty much impossible with that Barcelona team in form. Still, anything can happen and I still have hopes that Arsenal will win the whole thing. :tem

AC Milan will have a really really hard time with Tottenham... though I still think they gonna lose, this might be the most interesting matchup in the draw.
Meh....Man U will win by luck... or an extra 7 minutes that they always get when needed. :eyeroll

"Axis of Football" :lmao

I came across an interesting lil post on another forum about the world cup draw; How Qatar stole the World Cup... Nothing new these days huh? :cookiehand

Chelski lost AGAIN! Go Wolves! :cheerbunny

...and I really think Hodgson won't make it to the end of the season...even though the owners said they would keep him until the summer. 3-1 against Blackburn is a disgrace. :fail

Yet again Manchester City played an all defensive game. They will never win if they keep playing like that. So many strikers and yet you play defensive... Manchini doesn't know what he's doing.

As for Hodgson, he shouldn't have been appointed in the first place. He'll only have one game left to keep his job if he doesn't get fired right now. Another loss, and he's out of there.

After their 3-1 loss vs Blackburn it wasn't really unexpected. However I didn't see Dalglish as their new manager coming.

Hodgson going unexpected? It should have happened months ago, it's a long time coming. Poor Dalglish will face MANU right after his return, what a horrible team to start against.

I didn't expect him to leave on his own though... they usually wait to get fired.

@Hyst - well they only had Benitez for the last few years. He did well to win Champions League, but as one of the commentators said, when you start making bad choices the team starts to sink.
