Didn't know that happened. Jose must be secretly pleased about the current goalkeeping situation now.

Things like this shouldn't happen though, yet they are red cards without a doubt...Hazard deserved to be sent off for attacking the ball boy, but realistically, there should never have been a ball boy like that. Hazard deserves a short ban for losing his head instead of going to the ref.
Ok...it all makes sense now. Why would a club place a douchebag of a ball boy like him in such a "position" (if you want to call it one). Morons.Let's not forget that the kid tweeted beforehand that he was going to cause trouble as a ball boy and he's the son of a couple who own 22.5% of Swansea FC, which actually even makes it worse.

Don't you guys dare try to go after Vidal :cussinOMG! I would've loved to see that! But yeah the kid was a jerk. He shouldn't of done that in the first place and Hazard trying to wrestle the ball out of his arms isn't worthy of a severe punishment. I guess the kick (no matter how weak/fragile or strong it was) would always be deemed unacceptable. Funny ish however you look at it. xP
15million for Zaha.....really!?
We need at least one fricking solid defensive midfielder!![]()
Well, it is your beloved SAF, he's a master tactician, remember?
Apparently Cesar is going to be is replacement, and Casillas wants to leave Madrid at the end of his contract. I must say.....Murinho is doing a fine job dismantling MadridIker Casillas has a broken arm and is out indefinitely. I guess Adan will be starting then.![]()

If those two incidents required red cards according to the rules, then they need new rules. Similar incidents have occurred here in other sports. With someone running out into the field of play, you can't always assume it's just some drunken asshole trying to get on camera so he can brag to his friends. If you're on the pitch and you shouldn't be there, then you should be considered a threat. If that isn't the case, what's the point of having security in the first place? It's up to the individual player if they want to do anything or not though. But I don't think they should be penalized at all for incidents like that.Things like this shouldn't happen though, yet they are red cards without a doubt...
Stupid Bastía
If they're on the pitch they are a "threat" to what exactly? Football isn't war.If those two incidents required red cards according to the rules, then they need new rules. How are they supposed to know what intentions they have? Who's to say they aren't homicidal nutjobs? If they're on the pitch they are a "threat" to what exactly? Football isn't war.
They are footballers, not stewards. They shouldn't be attacking pitch invaders, its not their job nor is it their role, they are told specifically to leave that to security. If they are attacked they are allowed to use necessary force otherwise they are told to stay out of it. It's for their own safety. Anyway in both instances the player went out of his way to assault the pitch invader, hence the red card. If they just held onto the person until the stewards got there, the ref wouldnt have brought out any cards, but they didnt and unnecessarily assaulted them.

I never meant to imply that they were stewards, but in a lot of cases they have more capability to end the situation then middle-aged security guards. And if they choose to, they shouldn't be penalized for it, within reason.
I understand what you're saying, but to maybe amend my point - the first video all he does is trip the idiot, I guess the goalie running the guy down from behind in the other video is a lot more severe and unnecessary. A guy sticking his leg out to stop a meandering idiot isn't punishable in my eyes. There's no real difference between that and grabbing a hold of him, which could be equally, if not more dangerous.
I guess an analogy I'd use is when someone trespasses onto your property or your home, you're supposed to just wait until the police show up? Not really.
In that case Gary you are not really against the rule but the referees interpretation of it. Violent conduct on the field of play is a straight red card, what constitutes that is upto the referee at the time of course.Imp, Hart didn't get punished when he held off the crazy City fan who was attempting to attack a United player.
Americans, and that includes Gary and I, have no problem with athletes dealing with pitch invaders. There was this baseball one the other year where the security guards couldn't catch the pitch invader so one of the players clothes lined the pitch invader.

Waste of a talent right there....playing in a crappy league and all. =.=

He does that every year, there's nothing strange with that :3Beckham working out with Arsenal?![]()
