Exactly, guessing a shot's direction from that close requires either good luck or instinct, he couldnt have predicted where the shots was going to go with Matuidi's stance alone because of the 3 players blocking his view like xiO mentionned before.

And when he saw the direction the ball was going to take, he tried but the ball was going to fast and he had no time to jump. Look at how his body is positionned at 0:15, he still tried even though he probably hurt a bit of his back at this specific moment!

You're having a laugh mate. We don't need to be worse than we are now.
Says who?

I'm just being a bitch to the Arsenal supporters we have here. I don't root for them to fail or anything. That's reserved for Man U and maybe Chelsea :^_^

I'd meant to mention this earlier.

German football journalist Raphael Honigstein on Twitter: "Mourinho to Chelsea buzz getting louder. Two very different people with CFC connections insist "it's a done deal"."

So City win at Old Trafford.

What an ending to that Dortmund vs Malaga match. Malaga looked to have settled it, but then they ship two goals in about one minute to lose the tie.

Today was incredible. It's because of games like that that i love football.

Galatasaray who didn't play well in the first leg showed that they deserve to be in the quarterfinals today, leading 3-1 with 20 mns left unfortunately, they couldn't score 2 more but they played really well and almost beat madrid. C.Ronaldo last goal was just lucky, Gala just wanted to score 2 more and weren't focusing on defending obviously. If only Gala played that well since the beggining of the game, Ronaldo wouldn't have scored so soon (7 mns). But they played well and showed that Madrid can be beaten. RM was completely horrible today and i hope they're gonna lose their next game. I wasn't impressed at all of their games in the quarterfinals.

As for Dortmund vs Malaga, it was the best game so far in CL! Malaga really thought they would win when they were leading 2-1 with 4 min left. It happened to me in real life, we were winning a game 5-3 with 1m30 left, chilled a bit and we were trying to play defense but they still managed to win so i completely understand how Dortmund could win.

Dortmund had nothing to lose and wanted to come back so badly while Malaga thought they already won and Dortmund managed to win! Great game, the greated game so far with PSG vs Barca.

I hope tommorow's game are going to be as great! I also hope PSG's going to win vs Barça.

Are we also going to see a spectacular comeback from Juventus vs Bayern? One thing's for sure, nothing seems impossible in this champions league!

I bet you're celebrating pretty hard in Germany, right Naruto-niichan? :)

Let's hope PSG wins tommorow!

Santana was offsides in that game-winner, but it should have never been a game-winner in the first place. Malaga's go ahead goal was offsides.

Gary, all three of the final goals were offside, so it should've ended 1-1.

Rule says that if the referee is doubting if it was an offside or not, he has to benefit the attacker.

The Santana goal had a lot of commotion to it, but that doesn't make them not calling it excusable however. The goal by Malaga was a joke though. The ball was probably going in anyway. You could even see Eliseu initially react, knowing the goal would probably be waved off and then elation when he realized it wouldn't be.

While the match is over and done with, let's not forget that Schmelzer should've been sent off for either a second yellow or even a straight red for attacking another player. Instead, the ridiculous ref ruled that the Malaga player who was attacked had somehow dived or something and awarded him the yellow instead of sending off Schmelzer.

Huh? Reus' goal didn't look offsides to me...
Where Reus scored from wasn't offside, but there was a suspicion of offsides in the buildup. I'd have to see the replay again to make sure.

Ah, more often than not the angry offsides claim is usually for something like that as it usually isn't as blatantly wrong as Eliseu's goal was. But nothing screamed offsides about it watching it live.

Rafa, just keep your mouth shut until the whole business is done with.

"Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has been quoted in Wednesday's national newspapers as saying he wants to return to Liverpool one day to manage the club he steered to the 2005 Champions League. "

Plus, Barca, of all teams, is complaining about refereeing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22037418

He got you a CL title, or do you put that down solely to Gerrard?

Of course Malaga are complaining. The CL General Secretary, Infantino, came out today and said that the refereeing during this year's CL had been exemplary. :P

Still, the thing is that Barca have gotten beneficial refereeing so many times that they don't have a right to complain. One of the things that they were complaining about was that the ref didn't stop the match when two Barca players crashed into each other.

To be honest, there's been to many mistakes from the referees many times. Almost every team got away with something at some point, so i doubt anything's gonna change for now. They should just focus on not making any more mistakes in the future games.

Gosh, I'm so excited for today! Who are you guys betting on for PSG vs Barca and Bayern vs Juventus?

I'll go with PSG obviously (that's my team) and Bayern.

It has been pretty bad this season. Remember Shakhtar vs FCN where that stupid UEFA drop ball rule somehow allowed Shakhtar's Adriano to score a goal off of a drop ball? That was RIDICULOUS!

I'm hoping that Barca misses out and that PSG progress, but I don't know. I'd picked Milan to progress over Barca and look how that ended up.

I'm picking Bayern to move on, but don't forget that they played a pathetic second leg against Arsenal (admittedly while they were missing Schweinsteiger), and Juve's played much better in Turin this season than away from home, so who knows.

Realistically, the second that the group stage was over, I expected Bayern, Dortmund, Barca, and Madrid to make up the SFs.
