Sket Dance - Well, I re-read it few time, and still, i laugh at it ~
Mikuni Shin's Life of Hunter (Monster Hunter Orage Omake) - It's really funny in my opinion XD I wish Mikuni makes more omakes XD

Arakawa under the bridge and Ranma 1/2 were the best gag manga i've read.
Code:breaker and Midori no Hibi has some funny chapters too. (those few funny chapters got me rofl)
Also, on my list are Fullmetal Panic! Comic Mission, and Ouran high school host club even though the latter one is gender bender.

Hmmm, Gintama is probably my number 1 gag manga. Sket Dance, Hayate no Gotoku!, & Arakawa Under The Bridge also appeal to me too.

if your looking for a gag manga that also has a good story line then i think that sekirei is a good choice or ichigo 100% although that gets more serious as it goes on but it's still an awesome read

Sket Dance is my favourite comedy manga and Arakawa Under The Bridge my favourite comedy anime. I'd include Gintama as one my favourites as well, except I'm pretty behind (I really need to catch up).

Has anyone read Binbou-gami? I heard that it's pretty funny and Sunrise is planning to use its anime adaptation as a replacement for Gintama at the moment.

I'm currently in love with Joshiraku because it has the same writer with the author of Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, and its heavy use of Japanese puns and cultural reference. The scans is a little bit delayed, I recommend you to watch the Anime if you think you would like it.

Well the funniest manga I've ever read are Gintama, GTO and Shonan Junai Gumi. All of them are hilarious. And all of them have their own unique style. But it's not only the comedy the serious moments are also marvellous and I really enjoyed/ enjoy reading them.

I'd say no to GTO, the only one of those I've read. The key to gag manga (and I'm only just getting round to really getting this myself) is that they're gag-driven. More story-driven stuff, where the gags are just part of the content, probably fall more on the fence between comedy and whatever other genre they are.

In short: genres are complicated

I still recommend Kyou Kara ore Wa! though. Very underrated even though it has its 38 volumes translated in english with good quality.

Some 4-koma or 95% humor and loose plot series I've enjoyed have to be:
Kill me baby: I like the manga much more compared to the anime and the dark humor works really well for the series

Tonari no seki Kun: Take phineas and Ferb, but have both brothers be combined into one silent Highschool student who just sits at his desk and never talks and have canidce not be his sister but a classmate who's trying to seriously study but can't help but be distracted. I find it quite charming.

Sgt. Frog: Some of the stuff they pull in this series is wierd...and I love it! Not exactly the best I would say but I'd reccomend giving it a try!

Setokai yakuindomo: Wow I got the name this time, guess its cause I keep coming back to it, On the outside its a typical harem series but really its a bunch of girls with perverse minds (minus shizuku) and a dude who has to tolerate their dirty comments.

those are all I can think of at the momment but I'll take reccomendations!

Jaguar's definitely one of the most important in recent history.

In recent researching I've started reading Chinyuuki and am liking that. It's journey to the west but with a naked bald man. Arnold Schwarzenegger was once on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump with it. That Chinyuuki. It's pretty mental. Good mental, but mental all the same.

If we talk about the most recent gag-manga, PSI Kusuo Saiki is also very promising. The characters and the dialogue are so random, it's very funny considering the protagonist is a super human.

My two all-time favorites are Jaguar and Saint Young Men.

Jaguar is also my favorite; too bad it's not really popular, at least from what I've seen on the internet.

Jaguar's not super popular on the net, but keep in mind it *was* popular enough to run for an entire decade, and to receive special treatment in the TOC for most of that, rendering it immune to votes. For a gag manga that's pretty super popular.

Saiki Kusuo is brilliant, and to see it touted as part of Jump's New Power Generation warms the heart, especially in the light of Shuichi Aso's other, far less popular gag series he's had in the past.
