Its so hard to get into a game before the launch of a highly anticipated game. Ive just not been feeling like playing anything with infamous second son this month coming.

So Valve released another image of its Steam controller prototype, and it seemed... rather bulky imo.

Looks like a rip off/third party controller, form looks pretty cheap, maybe because they want to keep cost at a minimum if it's not successful?

There's a huge polemic around the next MGS. It'll be split in two parts, the first one being released in some hours and its campaign lasting 2 and a half hours (I'm not kidding, prolly 45 minutes rushing everything). 6 hours counting side-missions. I'm not sure why it's done this way, Kojima said that the 2nd part (Phantom Pain, said to be released in 2015) will be 200 times bigger... so why don't you release both in a single game, instead of making a demo that costs as a full game?

To be serious for a minute, though. I saw a bunch of people hype HoS up when it finally went alpha and they started streaming it on Twitch. So, yeah, it looks pretty, but I don't see anyone enjoying the game that much unless they're new to the MOBA genre. There's almost no reason to pick it over LoL or Dota2. Everyone just levels up as a team, you don't buy items...it's so bland looking. I think if you take the minor (compared to RTS) strategy component out of a MOBA, like gold and items, you would need to replace it with something. Like maybe more varied gameplay, or character would have a lot more skills...idk

Copying this over from the League of Legends thread. So, does anyone have any impressions of Hereos of the Storm? Anyone lucky to get early access to it?

Bought my PS4 and Infamous Second Son earlier this week.

The visual effects are really something to see. Particle effects everywhere with no effect on the frame rate at all. But I think the most undersold aspect of the ps4 might just be the speaker in the controller. I had forgotten how much i loved the one the wii controllers had. There is this mini game where you use the controller like a can of spray paint and tag stuff, and the way the controller makes a spray paint sound just feels...right.

A name which has not worked out as I expected, by the way. When I made it I was just trying to work Jammin into a name that wasn't taken but for some reason people online have always shortened it to Almighty in voice chat. Which really sounds weird to me (I'm average at FPS games...at best)

Hmmm...looks good. Though I suppose they completely abandoned Origin's fighting system? Wasn't a fan of part 2's, yeah it was more fast paced, but it lacked depth and didn't feel like you accomplished anything after a fight.

Supposedly, Inquisition is somewhere between Origin's and 2's combat.

The problem for me in 2 was the complete lack of strategy and at the very least they seem aware of that problem. And they have provided a strategic view this time. Which is going to improve things quite a bit.

You can also adjust your companions full inventory again. And they've added some variety to enemies too. Which is good as long as I'm not forced to play the game like an action game; because if I buy this and it plays like God of War I'm going to be pretty pissed off. Hopefully, warriors are more action oriented, thieves are more stealth, and wizards are strategic. That's the way it should be.

The only thing that I'm really hoping to see that I haven't is something in depth about the magic system. In DA:O you could use spells together to do awesome things. Like casting a pool of grease and to make enemies slip and then hit it with a fireball to set it, and them, on fire. Or placing a paralysis rune and then hitting it with another spell to make it explode and paralyze everybody in a huge radius. DA 2 had none of that, which removed a whole layer of strategy. I'd love to see that layer restored.

Yeah,I thought I was the only one that thought 2 had no strategy at all. Also hope it isn't like god of war but more like Origins.
