So, was gifted the new VtM Bloodlines 2 and have mixed views on it
Story is good so far (2h in, so not
that far), with a wide variety of characters - but some I do find a tad obnoxious and tropey...
Graphics are good and the world looks nice. However, speaking of the world, it does feel a bit constrained and seems to be more an illusion of depth (with most buildings being little more than painted boxes)
Gameplay is passable, but really not anywhere as good as it should be tbh. And, most importantly, it doesn't feel like an RPG
Not sure what to think on it. I am enjoying, but wouldn't recommend anyone spending anywhere near full price on it... Worst thing, I say this not because it's buggy and might be fixed, but rather that I feel the game has fundamental issues that would stop me wanting to recommend
I think the thing that upsets me most is how far it is from VtM:B (the original). The game is incomparable. Not because it is a poorly executed version, but rather it isn't even the same style of game. The only things that the 2 share are the overall setting and the name
