igotthgoods: That's terrible D: That's one of my biggest fears, having my wallet stolen. My ipod got stolen a year ago, right out of my purse during school, despite the fact I never leave it anywhere other than right beside me :/ My brother's wallet got stolen at school this year too :/

thanks girls.....yeah, i've certainly learned my lesson about keeping my purse on the back of my chair at a bar. it was just so crazy since it happened literally right behind me and none of us even noticed. i wasn't the only one it happened to, either, so i think the culprit had to be a pro. i ended up filing a police report just to make sure there was documentation of the incident in case i would happen to run into trouble with identity theft. i have a friend who is a victim of that and it can get really nasty. oh well, the bar manager was really nice and gave me free dinner for two because he felt sorry for me, so i suppose that helped to soften the blow a bit.

I actually didn't know until recently that soldiers or army people (or whatever- in your case, fireman ) could have the luxury to go online until recently when I read from T.H.A.T. anime blog. Because one of the contributors there is an army man.

Bars here close around 3AM and the stores stop selling alcohol at 2AM...6 days out of the week, people can't buy alcohol until 7AM...except Sunday (in my state, you can't buy until after 1PM...in the state next to me, no liquor on Sundays!)

well we have bars n clubs here that close like 3am, 4am, 5am but they tend to be more expensive, and store bought booze is a fuckin joke in sweden, its a monopoly thing..

lol, in title only. it's just my rank for the next few months. once i finish "a" school, i'll be promoted to petty officer third class, and my title will change to MM3 (machinist mate). the reason i'm called fireman now is because MMs preform maintenence to the ship, and anyone who does that gets the red strips of a fireman (only DCs, damage controlmen fight fires. under normal curcumstances, anyways. there was a freak accident aboard a carrier during the vietnam war in which a secondary explosion from a fire wipped out the both FC teams.)

yay! i was missed! XD we couldnt go online during boot, but i graduated on friday (YAY!!!11!) and on our liberty (free time) we can do whatever we want. within reason.

glad to hear i was so missed beleive me, it isn't one sided. i missed all you guys too.

im in an internet cafe right now, waiting for my movie to start (i'd have to hurt someone if i missed the ironman movie due to boot camp). its been exciting here. we had a tornado about ten miles from the base last night, so we all had to hunker down on the bottom level of our building. that's about 500 sailors and recruits, in one small hallway (we call them passages or P-ways) then this afternoon, right before i said goodbye to my mom and sister, a truck got flipped right near us (the driver is fine, he climbed out and walked away without a scratch) and no there is another huge storm right on top of us. in fact, im gunna post this now in case the power goes out. ttyl!

It sucks worse when you are running on 3 hours of sleep...having working until midnight and going back in at 7AM the next morning...

Sundays are always the most boring part of the week in my job...all we do on Sundays is hang sales signs for the upcoming week. We are usually a whole lot busier the rest of the week (esp. Saturday night). I guess I better stop ranting. Every job has its good and bad points...

do you smoke, or drink? because if you do, you might want to avoid those. It helps reduce pneumonia, if your lungs can recover. Plus, I'm assuming you're under the age of 30. The younger you are, the better chances you have of recovering quicker. Get well soon.
