@Maddog: hope you're better. from your appendectomy. Rest a lot.
Wll, in Machu Picchu you have t carry your own bag. There are some lockers that you can use if you want to store something. They can hire a guide just for themselves or be in a goup.
In MachuPicchu you alk a lot... and there's a ountain behind machuPicchu called Waynapicchu... it's a 1 hour treck to the top (wich is at 2634 meters over the sea level) and the view from there is fantastic. To can go down the same way you came u... or you can take a longer path that passes by another small ruins and a cave.

I'm happy!!!! Hahaha finally I bought a new keyboard, mouse and speakers.... the ones that I used to have were a little bit old (my speakers were 12years old) and malfuctioning.
I also bought a new hard drive.. so now I have a 3 hard drives.. one of 120gb, one of 80gb and now a new one of 160gb.

@ Hellbringer - Thanks man. I've got the rest of the week off, so I get to chill at home and watch gameshows. Also, there's a good chance I misunderstood what my brother was telling me about the backpacks (I was heavily medicated at the time). Waynapicchu looks amazing. That seems like a hike he'd be up for.

@ baboysai - You can't be too careful, so definetly get it checked if keeps bugging you. I almost waited too loing myself, and things would've been real interesting if it burst. :s

Some of you may have heard this before, but I went to a sale yesterday, and i bought NOTHING!!! Nothing!!!! :yelling That is considered an impossible feat by my standards, since i'm quite a shopaholic. I just can't get over the shock.

Only for high school, Nami. The universities I've studied at (all three of them) were co-ed :amuse

I'm surprised to hear you say that, though. Most people think I'm crazy to have voluntarily gone to such a school (it was a boarding school, too). It was a great school though, really tough (makes college seem like a joke sometimes) and a lot more liberal than most people assume all-girls schools around here to be. And of course I made better friends than I would have at a regular high school, since we were living together for four years so we were basically family :D

Anyway, congrats on not buying anything! (I assume this is meant to be a good thing? maybe?) I actually went shopping today, for about half an hour, to buy a new pair of jeans. Which is amazing, because buying pants is usually a nightmare for me, but I ended up buying the first and only pair I tried on. It was really incredible, if shopping was always that easy I would do it more often :XD

@nami- now I'm confused, are you happy that you did not buy anything or are you unhappy that you didn't buy anything??? :huh If you're happy than good for you if you're unhappy then, you truly are a shopaholic.... :XD

Just a side note, I'll be gone for a couple of weeks starting tomorrow.... got some things that i got to do.......

I guess my case is "the Grass is always greener on the other side"? I wanted to be in a girls school, you can do what you want without feeling conscious. And the girls are, very close knit bunch, from what i see when they enter into the same co-ed school as me. However, it's the guys from the all-boys school that we kind of 'avoid'? I'm not sure what is it exactly, but they behaved like they have never seen girls before in their whole life. Maybe this sounds a bit exaggerated, but that's the vibes they give, and unless they are good looking, usually we avoid them. :p

I'm unhappy because I did not get anything. I'm a shopaholic deep inside, known even among my friends' partners as "The Shopaholic". Managed to curb this bad habit some time back, by being addicted to something else. Yomiko - what happened exactly was that there wasn't any sizes left for me for those stuff that I like, and it's just plain torture :crying

Nami, be happy... you saved some money.
I'm kind of a shopaholic too.. I buy a lot of uunnecessary things and after paying I find myself regretting about buying that stuff.
And at the end of the month I'm don't have money fo the necessary things.
I will be doomed the day I get a credit card

Forget about War of the Worlds, Independence Day othings like that...

One day a group of martians are going to open a bank and give us free Space Credit Cards....
A little bit later, Mars will own the Earth.

and in part it will be Nami's fault.

Credit cards...pure evil!! :darn
I had one once for a very short time. My problem was not exactly spending too much, it's not knowing how much I spend. And I always forgot to pay the bills. So now I just have a debit card, which is much easier for my simple mind to comprehend. But I'm still incapable of balancing a checkbook :p

Yup, I totally agree :amuse High school was great for me, I was totally focused on my classes and sports and friends. And I wasn't too interested in the guys from the guy school either, they were all kind of idiots, it seemed :XD The funny thing that I realized there, though, is that even without guys present, girls can still be so catty and mean! It was just strange, to hear a girl picking on another because what she's wearing isn't fashionable or something. I mean, who cares? Who is there to dress up for anyway? I always went to class in sweatpants...jeans if I really felt like being fancy :XD

I have the exact opposite problem of being a shopoloic: I don't buy anything. I have no desire to better anything I have, which leaves everything I own in a state of obsolition and disrepair.

china? d00d! china?! i wanna go! take me with you!

But, seriously, just so you guys all know...they wouldn't laugh at you for working there...you'd probably get more attention than you'd know what to do with. At my school, (long, long ago :amuse) we all fawned over either the volunteer firemen next door or the guys who helped out with maintenance over the weekends. Or the pizza guy. (Not telling who I preferred) :XD
ahh, im reminded of the episodes of blood+ with haji doing the gardening at the all girls school. i wish there was one around here...

its hard in an area with maybe 4,500 people, most of whom are lazy and on welfare, or looking after their teenager's children (see below) to find good workers, or workers at all. believe me, they know they are in trouble, they are trying to hire new ones.

@Yomiko - You study in a girls school? Wow! That was my dream, but I think I'll be even more tomboyish if i'm ever in a girls school. But i agree, girls in girls school will definetely go ga-ga over a young guy ;)
T_T why cant there be one here? T_T

this is a good thing, you realize? everyone in my family is just as bad at buying things.

i think you're hitting the nail pretty close to the head. they are probably uncomfortable being around girls. the cute guys are probably used to getting the girls. thus better at talking to them. have you ever read Catcher in the Rye? there are a couple of examples in that.

okay, this is something me area is renound for: lots of teenage parents. of all the country, my state has the highest teenage pregnancy rate. of all the counties, mine, again, is the highest. of all the towns in our county, this town is the highest. in that following it that way, we have the highest teenage birth rate. thats a flawed system, of coarse, but you see my point. we had at least two 13-15 year olds drop out each year because they got pregnant. this one time i was out in the hall before second bell (the start of the class) and i looked at this girl out of the corner of my eye. she was 14, and 8 months pregnant. she saw me and snapped "what the #%@$ are you looking at?!". i didn't speak my mind >_> but i really wanted to.

I've been away for a while.. kinda miss MH :XD how's everyone doing??

My week from HELL is finally over. All the urgent assigments have been submitted and I can finally breathe once again.

my uncle has a rare case of gastrointestinal stroma tumor and just had surgery recently too. My dad consulted with me if they should go on with the surgery even with the high % risk but I don't really see any other solution. Surgery is the main treatment and its a risk we just have to take. The surgery was successful, thank god and he's still recovering at the hospital. It's scary when someone in your family gets cancer. Luckily the tumor is still benign and hasn't spread to other organs but the doc says that there are still chances the tumor might come back again. cancer reli changes your life. makes me more determined to study hard to do cancer research :amuse

I didn't notice page 20 :XD

ahh, im reminded of the episodes of blood+ with haji doing the gardening at the all girls school. i wish there was one around here...
that's EXACTLY what came to my mind when someone here mention abt garderning in a all girls school. :amuse I wouldn't mind having someone like hagi, gardening in my school! :wtf

@Rabb

Ah nami, there goes your shopaholic reputation!!!! ;) jk I went to a sale yesterday too and after hours of walking, bought a dress :amuse I wish shopping was fast but I'm picky with what I buy for instances, if I'm getting shoes, absolutely nothing with heels. So I enter a shoe shop and scan the entire shop for any flats before moving on to the next one. It's faster than window shopping but it gets crazy when there's so many shops ard! :nuts

It was just strange, to hear a girl picking on another because what she's wearing isn't fashionable or something. I mean, who cares? Who is there to dress up for anyway? I always went to class in sweatpants...jeans if I really felt like being fancy :XD
Yeah, I don't get it with fashion. why does it even exist in the first place? I once did a paper on Beauty Myth. war on beauty and propaganda! Ah shucks, I shouldn't get philosophical :XD

rabb, that episode with the gardener dude is actually the only one I've seen of that show (on adult swim, so it was pretty horribly dubbed) but it reminded me of my old school too. Except we didn't have scary nuns yelling at us :XD

Actually, that sounds interesting :amuse

The funny thing is, the pair of jeans I bought the other day are, according to the lady who owned the shop, the most popular and trendy brand or something right now and have been in a lot of fashion magazines lately. I told her, that's cool but I really wouldn't know, I don't read fashion magazines, I read comics :XD

And Az, it's good to hear that your uncle's ok, cancer is really scary. I hope his recovery goes well :hug
