Discussion The "How Much Time Do You Spend on the Computer" Thread

Im just curious xD

i used to spend all my available time on the computer (about 3-4 hours per day on school days, and 6-7 hours per day on weekends). That has decreased a bit now since exams are coming up, and i have to study. On school holidays, if im not eating/sleeping/working, im on the computer (about 7-13 hours).

what about u guys?

even with my upcoming exams, I stay on the net for more than 6 hours daily. watching anime and reading online manga isn't part of that yet. so you could say about half a day.

i'm a bum. what can i say!

I'm on my PC all the time when I'm not sleeping.. Everyday from when I got internet connection. I have no life XD

As soon as i wake up i reach over and switch my computer on.
Then just before im about to go to bed on a night..it gets switched off.

So yeah..a lot of time.

wake up = pc on
go to sleep = pc off (or not, depends on downloads and updates xD)

That does not mean, that I'm always in front of it. I'm pretty busy with kids, study, animals and hobbys ... but every free minute I'm checking something here or there and when I have a free day, I spend much much much time with the computer^^

Way too much.. if I'm broke, not in school, not in work and not at a friends house.. im online..
I can't keep myself busy at home without being online anymore -_- There's just too much that draws me in, the music, the anime, the movies, the video games, the forum.. its just such a lazy solution that I can't even do homework at home anymore.

That's not true, you CAN combinate it. Of course, you can't have everything but it is possible^^

yeah i work mostly in fri\ont of the computer also as a tech support agent. so whenever i'm at work, i visit forums, watch youtube, download some pictures, or read manga (this is mostly what i do) at work while talking to a customer.

and sometimes i mute the phone to laugh at the manga i'm reading.

Well most people that are into anime/manga are some sort of nerds anyway.. as far as having no social life, that's generalizing.
Like I mentioned "unless" in my point, that unless has often times forced me to not be on my computer for 6 months (just last year), so it's not that we have no social life, it's that we have chosen to spend our free time doing something on the computer which is a lazy yet interactive alternative to TV or books which are just lazy, but not interactive.

On the majority of school days, I get on from about 5 pm to 10:30 pm, so that's....5.5 hours. On the weekends.... I always on by 9am, usually earlier, and unless I have to go somewhere, I'm on until 10pm or so XD I take breaks though, and do homework and such while I'm online ^^

Days with classes

Uni = 2 to 4 hours (it's less than 5 minutes walk from my place, so walking time doesn't count)
Sleep = 5 hours
Other chores (eat,toilet,etc) = 1 to 1 1/2 hours
PC = all other hours

Weekends
=============
Other chores (eat,toilet,etc) = 1 to 1 1/2 hours
Sleep = 5 hours
Hang Out = 4 to 5 hours
PC = all other hours

Weekdays No Classes

Hmm..about 2 to 3 hours a day, just to open my email, FS, post in forum, and download my favorite mangas

hmm 4 or 6 hours a day i suppose, but it depends on wheter i will be working on holidays or doing some learning stuff (read: read some book) or doing some help in home. Basically i would say like that, but there were weeks that i didnt have a really nice break to be able to do something on computer :x And you know what, when your on computer, time is letting so fast ^^"
