It is, but what happened to Hardy happened to me aswell. The moment I turned 18 I tried to get it, but circumstances made me drop it and I didn't get my license till this year.

Doing it asap is the best you can do though, its like a weight you take off your shoulders, and it opens lots of job choices.

Tbh I only got my license at the age of 28.

I hope drunk Greg woke up from his nap on time c.c

I got mine kind of late as well.
Here you can get your permit by 16 although that license has a restriction of having an adult to supervise you while driving.

It does feel short... but I cant complain, in my last job I didn't even get them

As for the license, it wasn't the first time that I got a promising job offer and had to reject it for not having my driving license, like that receptionist job in Marbella, or the delivery service of a Chinese restaurant that a friend owns (I lost free food *-*). Besides, I have the feeling I didn't get some other ones cause in the interview I said I would have to take public transport... which means low availability.

So its a pain yeah, but you dont really notice how important is to have it till you face those walls I guess.

I think my life would've turned out a lot different if I got it instantly. Especially the last years before I met my wife.

I did, however, tried to get it a couple of times. The first time I paid per lesson, I was pretty wealthy back then and just threw my money everywhere. Then I got fired out of the blue and was broke af b/c of my spending. So I had to cancel remaining lessons.

Second time (5y later IIRC) I was at a driving school of a close family friend, who passed away during, and then I gave up again. Didn't feel like it.

Third time, the driving school attempted to scam me, so I told them to fuck off and well, that was last year.

I don't regret it though, I still don't have it but I regret that I didn't chase it down before we had our kids. Own transportation is a blessing when you have kids.
Public transportation is definitely not baby/toddler-friendly. Not the distances, the schedules, nothing.

Getting a licence here it's kinda expensive. When I turned 18, I tried to get it as well. But I took lessons in my homeland whenever I would have some free time from uni (in another state). That took forever, so when I failed my first exam, I had little time to try it again before my process would expire. Plus, my dad would have to pay for the exam again and he wasn't happy about it. I dropped it and decided to only get a licence whenever I could pay for it.

Being so close to the Equator is kinda odd xD At 5:30PM it's pitch dark and at 5:30AM it's fully bright alrdy. I woke up at that time thinking it was like 8AM. The ocean breeze feels so nice compared to our desert tho T.T missed that. Soon I'll pull a Lambu and spam beach pics as well lol.

Yeah... And it sucks since work/school hours is very early...

I was in the Special Science Class in High School and we have 3 additional subjects (Research, Advanced Chemistry and Journalism)
Regular school hours is 7AM-4PM, ours were usually 6AM-6PM.
