orochimaru IMO was best villain and best part of naruto ..since he gone i felt naruto is missing something never liked kabuto or tobi/madara as villain material.
That page is actually one of the turn-points of the manga. Also please note that I was thinking about what to nominate here from the beginning of this competition and I was torn between that panel and others from the same and previous chapters.
How could I forget Gantz? Thanks bene! The color page is pure epicness but I would like to nominate this one for Best Colour Page: Gantz Chapter 304 Page 2
Best Kiss: I second the Kiss between Naruto and Sasuke
thanks Benelori reminding me of that arc which made me remeber this page. Kei fighting alien with bare hands to save Tae..showing that even without weapons he still protect her no matter what
Well, it's kind of lame-o if we just end up with One Piece and the other two big fishes from JUMP for most of the categories... but that's bound to happen, I guess. I hope we get to see at least some non-mainstream surprises.
________________
I'll be doing some more nominations for categories I haven't voted in yet:
Best Male Supporting Character
Pierrot Bolneze (Yakitate!! Japan)
A clown of world class! - Pierrot can do just about everything one could imagine, all due to this simple fact. Flashy, ass-kicking, awesome character design.
Best Female Supporting Character
Miria (Claymore)
Because she's Miria. One of my favs from Yagi's work and a beauty who knows how to use her brains.
Best Shoujo Manga
Damn you, saladesu!
I wanted to be the first to call this great series... so, in the end I'll have to second X/1999.
Best new series
Ikusa no Ko - Oda Saburou Nobunaga Den -
There is no way I could nominate another series than this piece of awesomeness. Hara-sensei's brilliant new series after all those years and that man still knows how to kick ass!
Well I guess the votes will be biased by the fact that for one person reading Gantz they are 30 that read One Piece or Naruto. See, Naruto has 2 best chapters and 4 best fight nominations when honnestly, I find it far from being the best manga ever from the few I've read.
And how can I vote for the best seinen when I know only Monster and Akira from the current list (yeah I know it's shameful).
I guess the only real fair vote will be the best double spread and the best color page since you can choose them without having read the manga.
There are many good plot twists in One Piece. The one mentioned in the first post (in the spoiler tag) is one of the biggest there, maybe it is even the biggest. The Impel Down Arc is full of plot twists - noone could have ever thought how the arc would end at the beginning.
And the plot twists in One Piece dont seem to be too much artificial in general - a twisting fact rarely comes out of nowhere. There are not many big plot twists in the story and the one mentioned in the first post is part of a huge development in the story. It was set carfully so the story doesnt get unrealistic which is a hard part for a storyteller.
If a plot twist is no plot twist (after some time/with some distance) then it's a good plot twist.
That definately works for the mentioned One Piece plot twist.

Then feel free to vote for Monster or Akira then...Monster is definitely one of the best out there...what I get is that you know Gantz as well...if not then read a few chapters and come back to nominate again, because nominations can be edited
And even the with the double spreads and color pages, one can accurately know the genre of the manga...so if one doesn't like sci-fi that person will be biased towards it...
well i update my choice Best shounen
Hajime no ippo
Best artwork
Hajime no ippo, fights and movements are nice, u understand everything even complicated move, its like the character are alive, the facial expression are really nice too.

Best Shoujo Manga: Trinity Blood (sole one I read) Best Shounen Manga: Muhyo to roujie (it deserves to be mentioned) Best Seinen Manga: Me and the Devil Blues
Best Villain: Aji Tae, Shin Angyo no Onshi (purest evil I ever read in a manga - not manwha, since it was published in a Jhttp://mangahelpers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66366&page=4apanese magazine)
Best Fight: not yet decided
Best Chapter: not yet decided
Best Couple : Haruto and Asuka, Kimi no Iru Machi Best Kiss: Haruto and Asuka, Kimi no Iru Machi
Best Full Cast: Samurai Deeper Kyo (villains, goodies, etc they are all awesome)
Best Artwork (manga): Me and the Devil Blues
Best WTF Moment:
chapter 18 of Me and the Devil blues (p 158-160 of volume 3: how the blind Mac Donald, walking in a hallway, turns his head towards a hidden Thorton. Saying dry: "What are you doing here, Mister Thorton?" WTF real life creep)
Best Male Lead
Although I don't like where the plot is heading at the moment, I think the most interesting male lead is Allen Walker from D.Gray-man.
Best Male Supporting Character
As for supporting character, I would say L from Death Note. I basically only enjoyed the manga with him being big part of the story.
After his death I refused to read/watch, to not ruin it for me.
Best Female Lead
Hmm, dunno lol. Usagi Tsukino from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Think it's the only shoujo manga I read.
Best Female Supporting Character Minako Aino, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
Best Shoujo Manga Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
Best Shounen Manga
Got to be Death Note.
Best Seinen Manga GANTZ! GANTZ! GANTZ!
Best Hairstyling Bleach. Going together with the amazing artwork itself. Especially the girls hair designs are stunning (Nelliel, Harribel, Orihime-new), not only in comparison to the other two manga of the big three, where the mangakas only tend to draw plain, easy designs.
Best Costume Design
Here again, Bleach. While the Gotei 13 characters were mostly bit boring, due to the lack of varity, the Arrancar arc made good for it with in my opinion best costume designs I have seen yet.
Best Villain
Hmm, find that one pretty tough to answer. There are a lot I like, but I think my overall favourite is Kizaru Taisho from One Piece.
Best Fight Naruto, Konan vs Madara lol.
Best Kiss Bleach, almost kiss of Orihime and Ichigo, before being leaving to Hueco Mundo.
Best Color Page
coming soon.
Best Double-Spread
coming soon.
Best Chapter Bleach, Ch. 339: The Deathbringer Numbers.
Best Couple/ Pairing Haruka Tenoh and Michiru Kaio from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
Thank you for the nominations guys! The more you guys nominate, the more amazing the list of nominees gets. I’ve updated the list of nominees. Please let me know if I made a mistake or if something is wrong or missing. Thank you.

Itachi turning out to be good. I'll go in depth for this later once i am on a pc...but for now all i'll say is that judging the unexpectedness, yet the finest seamless fitting of it with loads and loads of previously known details, the impact it had on the plot both before and after the revelation, the impact on the characterization and character interaction of the main characters (which is the core crisis of this manga), the way the whole thing changed complexion only by the establishment of a different perspective without changing the actual event(that is itachi being the one to mass murder uchiha), the emotional impact it had on readers and the political/philosophical debate it generated among them (so realistic that it remains an almost unsolvable debate)...that without any doubt it is The Best. A twist that is not only surprising, but with exceptional depth (the only other one that comes to my mind is the Lelouch twist...but its anime).

Vinland Saga
A lead character or protagonist (from the Greek πρωταγωνιστής protagonistes, "one who plays the first part, chief actor") is the main character (the central or primary personal figure) of a literary, theatrical, cinematic, or musical narrative, around whom the events of the narrative's plot revolve and with whom the audience is intended to share the most empathy.
There can be a male protagonist and a female protagonist in a story. So yes, there can be more than one lead character in a series. Moreover…
from wiki said:
In the theatre of Ancient Greece, three actors played all of the main dramatic roles in a tragedy; the leading role was played by the protagonist, while the other roles were played by deuteragonist and the tritagonist.
And even today there are certain series that have multiple protagonists (protagonist, deuteragonist (second most important character) and the tritagonist (third most important character) )
hum little bit offtopic but simple curiosity, did naruto finally kissed sakura? ( i stopped to read naruto since age )
EDIT: oops i misread, its naruto x sasuke that people voted LMFAO, did naruto turned into a yaoi?, and people voted that for best kiss . that made my day.
Um, there were two invalid nominations. First, Love Hina is no Shoujo series. It was featured in Weekly Shounen Magazine. Second, it was mentioned a few pages ago but in order to nominate a kissing scene there actually has to happen a kiss. This clearly was NOT the case with Bleach. (This is a link to the scene, don't click if you don't want to get spoiled.)
And lastly, I (also) really can't agree on counting L as a supporting character and I guess most people will agree after reading what destiny posted just before. Ryuk or most of the Kira Investigation Team members are but L? No way...
@Prince how come love hina is not a shoujo? O_o
for bleach im not surprised like Hystz said before. people on this forum wanna bring one piece, naruto and bleach everywhere even where it shouldn't be. the kiss sasuke x naruto is the fact that the naruto fans couldn't find a better(another) kiss in naruto but they wanted badly to bring naruto. those awards gonna be weird, i hope we won't see OP, naruto, bleach everywhere.
