I just recently watched a korean film called Castaway on the Moon. Really need to give a shout for this one, it was brilliant. I don't want to give too much away, because I think the fact that I knew nothing of it before hand made it better experience for me. But basicly it is about a korean collarshirt worker, who loses his job, girlfriend, and is neckdown in debts. He attempts suicide by jumping from the bridge, just to wash ashore on a small island just some kilometers from the city.

Bit weird, off-beat comedydrama, which really builds into a heart-warming story. I really loved it. I never before have felt so emotional while watching someone to eat noodles.

There are a lot of gems hidden in Korean or generally Asian drama and i think many would like it if they approach them with an open mind. I watched that movie a few years ago and can share your sentiment.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 in 3D.

Seriously gorgeous. I had trouble paying attention to the actual story line because I was too busy drooling over the flight sequences.

Lone Survivor was amazing!

Rather over the top obviously. Granted the situation and battle was dramatic, the hollywood factor was present there. Even so it was hugely entertaining, or should I rather say fascinating as "entertaining" is rather extreme to say about something that in some form did happen like portrayed there, which was a brutal battle for survival. From the moment the first bullet was fired you were basically glued to your seat. Not many movies manage to pull of the same amount of intensity. One of the few movies that have ever had my full attention for such a long time. Almost no breaks from the intense situation.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit was pretty good, but some parts were a little cheesy. overall, 8/10

finally watched Maleficent. To be fair, it wasn't as "meh" as my friend had told me. And I read the reviews and the synopsis beforehand= so that particularly took away most of the experience. But yeah, I still enjoyed it despite the "surprise element" taken away. I think Angelina Jolie perfectly captured Maleficent the character, kept her sarcastic and snarky side just like how the character was in the animated film. And that even with the rape parallelisms, it still remained a Disney movie like any other. So yeah, maybe 7.5/10. I did cry a bit so...

I can't remember exactly, now that I think back on it. it was a sporadic reaction, a tear here, then after another scene a tear there... lol. or maybe... PMS? HAHA.

It was totally "Meh"! The story was mediocre by all means. If Angelina Jolie wasn't in it, then it would have never made it to theaters. It felt like a 3rd class disney movie!

admittedly it was forgettable. The plot was predictable, etc. but it's a disney movie afterall. I take those movies at face value to enjoy them most.

Maleficent could have been a lot better if some parts of it wasn't so forced but simply put it really was a mediocre film at best.

Watched Edge of Tomorrow and Blended. Both became my instant favourites.
Tom Cruise solid as ever and EoT really stands strong on its own if you don't compare it with the novel(yes they changed a few things but that is
what made it awesome.)

Went into Blended feeling meh came out gleefully because it was that fun of a film.

Godzilla (2014) wasn't that bad. However, seeing Walter White kind of threw me off, in that, Bryan Cranston should have tried to not act like Mr. White so much--which shows his true acting level... Overall, I enjoyed how they incorporated this sort of classical vibe in the Godzilla fight scenes--which made it authentic, and somewhat nostalgic in regards to the original godzilla, and how it was shot (film). 7/10

Really, I didn't feel like Cranston was doing Walter White. But it was hilarious, how the trailers make him seem like the main character. Nope. On a side note, I just happened to see an old episode of How I Met Your Mother, where Cranston played a childish douche bag architect. Hilarious after how iconic he is now.

The new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer seemed fun. Also seriously looking forward How to Train Your Dragon 2. The first one was just lovely.

Edge of Tomorrow was so-so... I liked lovely Rita and the whole concept of protecting the human race, however the whole time repetition crap drove me insane!

just came back from How to Train Your Dragon 2. Even if the villiany was kind of shallow, i still loved the movie. And I see potential for a part 3 somewhere...

also, watched the Korean film (which was the highest grossing Korean film of 2013) Miracle in Cell no. 7. You guys try to watch it. It's supposedly a comedy but I ended up crying bucketloads. -_-

Got my transformers ticket, (amazon local so amazing with really discounted tickets today), so hyped to see the fourth entry in one of my most beloved franchises. (Will miss Shia though, he was incredible).
