Bad Words

Just watched this and it's hilarious. Pretty solid story, great acting and comedy in this film is classic. Jason Bateman manages to keep himself relevant and creative.


p.s., This Friday, it's ape-sh*t time, Caesar has returned!!.

Sorry, but the whole spelling bee theme was pretty lame... yes, some remarks made in the film were funny, but overall, the movie as a whole pretty much sucked. A below average movie at best.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Seen it. Loved it. Amazing follow-up to "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", from beginning to end, there's a nice connection to the original 1968 classic. Notice some references to the first two originals as well.

p.s., the rumor is that in 2016, "Planet of the Apes", the second reboot of the original is coming out. If anyone knows about this, please hit me up with a link, very interested in this.

I just saw the transformers movie. I don't know what all the hatred is about, I would think this is the best transformer movie yet. Gotta love how shia is not in it for a start. Well, you gotta take points for all the product placement (in particular the obvious ones that only make sense to chinese folk, its kinda awkward) but other than that it was an entertaining movie. Explosions, awkward supposedly teenager boobs, robots, plot holes the size of the grand canyon but we can forgive those since even the movie was not taking itself too seriously and optimus prime riding a motherfucking tyrannosaurus. And shia is not in it. Dunno why that guy was ever in any movie, he sucks...... Its also a bit fun that while everyone is hating this movie it also made 750 mil which michael bay and a bunch of hollywood executives will use to aid the creative process for their next big hit (hint: it has explosions and boobs and occasionally dialogue which hints at a plot) which in turn will be used to buy even more cocaine which will aid the creative process of their next big hit.... and thats the cycle of life. Not that shit with the ants in lion king.

Just watched the trailer for The Giver and it looks terrible. I'm going to see the movie in hopes that I'm wrong, but it just looks so different.

Finally saw it as it just came out this week in my country. And yes, it's the best transformer movie since the first one.

On the + side:
- Walberg and no Shia. I could tolerate Shia in his first movies when he didn't try to be a star and was playing the awkward kid.
- good sense of humor.
- Stanley Tucci. The guy is a good replacement for John Turturro.

On the - side:
- No Megan Fox. Her replacement is inadequate. Nicole Peltz is just a pretty teen. Megan Fox in Transformers was some kind of unreal goddess and Nicole Peltz doesn't have the same sex appeal.
- Autobots who dislike humans (with reasons) and are then changing their mind in less than 2 minutes ...
- Slow first half hour and I didn't get why they killed the guy with the mini. I found him funny.

Only that it's Jonathan Liebesman directing it and not Bay. :P Maybe that's even worse considering he also did: Battle:LA, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and The Killing Room. hehe Can't say if it will be better or worse than the original movie though, as the '90s one was a far cry from a good movie too, don't let nostalgia blind you.

It has nothing to do with nostalgia. Do people not realize that the movie isn't timely at all? Back then they could have put TMNT in anything and kids would have gobbled it up, myself included. It was definitely my first love. But I'm not bashing it solely because they DARE touch my precious TMNT. I don't feel that way. But that doesn't mean I think that the movie will be worth the price of admission either.

Actually the TMNT TV show on Nick is pretty popular. I have never seen it, but it recently came out with a video game and I work at Kohls in the kid's clothes section sometimes. Everything is fucking Minecraft, LEGO, Nintendo, or TMNT. XD

Can't say anything against the cartoon either, it's pretty funny and it's success is earned.

I will have to overcome those ugly humanoid faces still, worst part by a mile despite that weird Shredder design. I want a ninja with claws, not a cybertron swiss knife one. :/

Well, its obviously not Shakespeare nor does it have its penis joke count but it does seem like the movie will be entertaining at least. Boobs, explosions, dubstep, the chance that the plot holes might get so big they collapse into themselves turning into black holes killing us all.... as pretty much any other michael bay movie ever it'll do what it is supposed to do (which is getting wildly critiziced while making all the money) on a weekend.

Nope. And she probably won't ever, she can't act. She is pretty good at being "the hot one" in just about any movie though. Maybe someday she will just happen to be "the hot one" in a good movie. It would be a purely circumstantial thing though.
