I'm interested enough to go see it but I'm also a little hesitant because they were going hard in the trailer on the facehugger and body horror aspects.

Because for one thing you don't stick that in the trailer. That's pure spoiler stuff. And for another it's like the least appealing part of an alien movie. Unless you're a real weirdo that's not the part of an alien movie people enjoy.

Trap

M. Night Shyamalan gift to his daughter, a full R&B concert playlist (~12 songs) for Saleeka Shyamalan who is the singer Lady Raven in this movie.

Honestly loved the movie, kept me on the edge of my seat seeing if the Butcher or the Trap schemers would succeed.

Plot did rely on two things

I'm going next Tuesday only because I scored some IMAX tickets. I think I've only seen the first one as well as Prometheus so I'm really not that attached to the franchise, we'll see.

It was really scary yet the gore was good and the make up was convincing.

New Superman filmed by James Gunn July 11th. James Gunn did pretty good with the GotG so should be somewhat interesting.

And Peacemaker season 2 in August.

Nosferatu was amazing. 5/5. Peak cinema. Absolute visual perfection. Great direction and performance. Good mixture of respecting and following the old, but updating it to modern audience.

Cinematography Oscar for now looks like a given. Maybe also editing.

I really want to watch it

Just finished watching Wicked with the girls... Yeah, I really don't think that I was the target audience for that film

How long will it take, I wonder, for my kids to lose interest in the [less enjoyable with each and every listening] Wicked songs and find a different playlist to upset me with...

Saw Sonic 3 not that long ago. Thought it was great highly recommend it. Good acting, good themes, very funny, and a lot heart.
Highly recommend it.

Finally saw Sawshank Redemption not that long ago, I see why it's a classic.
I want Morgan Freeman skin care routine because it weren't for the white hair you wouldn't think had aged since then lol.

Saw Palm Spring (2020) liked it a lot better than I thought I would. I see why so many people liked it, I recommend it.

Watched The Gorge on AppleTV.

To me that really seemed like one of those movies that wasted on a streaming service. That would have been a great movie theater watch. It was a nice blend of a romance and an action movie. And both worked pretty well. The plot has some holes in it but nothing you can't hand wave away. Honestly, I feel like it's the kind of movie there needs to be more of.

Not a fan of the new look

Watched the Substance and I have to say it arguably dethrones Dune 2 and Wicked as my best movies of 2024 (and they were 10/10 movies in their own right).

It’s such an extremely emotionally powerful movie that really affects you like very few movies do.

Also the notorious MAGAT Dennis Quaid as a lecherous and slimy corporate executive has to be the best casting ever.

Demi Moore was amazing. If I have one complaint about her it could be that she’s probably way too pretty for the role. She’s ridiculously gorgeous. Much like Anne Hathaway in The Idea of You, it’s a bit unconvincing to play an aging middle aged woman with insecurities about her looks when you look hotter than 99.999% of the human race looks at 25. Of course it could be argued that that was part of the point. That both these characters were actually beautiful but were convinced by their insecurities that they were no longer pretty.
