I'm not excited about TinTin movie, I won't go to cinema to watch it BUT I will watch it when it will come out on dvd for example. Its Spielberg film, so I will watch it someday xd

I'm also pretty excited by Tintin! The trailer seems pretty good, and with that kinda production team, it just can't be a total fail. Right? Well, of course it's the nostalgia kicking in, Tintin was part of my childhood afterall. I'd say I'm semi-hyping it. I wish we would have gotten a better look at Captain Haddock, my definite favorite, at the teaser... Well,

Oh, and I just saw the new pirates earlier today. Was messy. Circulating the same old Jack Sparrow jokes combined with the typical fastpaced action tropes. Gag infested chatting, clashing swords, gag infested chatting, more sword clashing, and so on. The minor characters, especially the new ones, felt really empty. I almost fell asleep during the film. Visuals were good though, once again. And some gags funnier than others. And the ridiculous action parts have certain appeal. Penelope Cruz did sure have more balls than Keira Knigthley. And Ian McShane did a brilliant job as a villain. Depp was Depp. But general feeling was dissapointed. It's was simply too much- it wasn't a compact package, felt stretched. And not particulary fresh either. Though they didn't show commercials before the film (only trailers) so that +1 star. Of the summer blockbusters, Thor was tiny bit better, but not much. Atleast it left me wanting to see Captain America and Avengers. I certainly hope On Stranger Tides will be the last PotC.

About the trailers I saw. Green Lantern seemed even worse than Thor and PotC. Transformers 3 on the other hand is a must see. Sure it will be shitty film again, but the humor/ranting value is just as high as in the previous two. It just seems to go even more ridiculously grander and grander with the enemies/fights sequel by sequel. This saga just has a special place in my heart, because it's suckiness. How could I not love a film which begin with the words "In the beginning, there was a cube"

I'm not surprised, crappy and disappointing U.S. movies has been a very long trend recently, sighs.

though, it would ahve been nice to hear, that there's some new movie I haven't seen as being good, lol.

sighs. (I'll still see the movies, even if I almost always correct when I know/believe they'll be crap, as it's not like there's anything else to see, and I got nothing better to do anyways, so I continue to contribute to their profits that they don't deserve, lol)

THough I still am a bit different: I like to keep an eye on NEW stuff, and an OLD stuff. I'm still trying to catch-up with many classics <to say> because I don't want to end as many ppl today with just watching whats new, generaly with uber awesome cgi special effects, and thats all. No, I'm too huge of a fan of movies to not be such kind of person whi sticks to only "new stuff>

From "where" is your list based on, baboysai? If you look at this or that page sometimes movies are in different order <though in general the SAME movies tend to be in such top100 xD>

oh, I've seen quite a lot of movies (800+), and I like the old classic movies (80s and 90s), as they were the best (80s and 90s are the golden years of movies and video games!), but if you mean movies that go even further back, like into black and white, then no, that's just too ancient and boring for me.

maybe, I've seen too many movies (and been too spoiled by top notch anime, hehe), but almost all the these recent movies (ever since the writer's guild strike however many years ago now), have really dropped off in quality. Oh, there might be a few here and there that are good, but that's only like 1-2 movies out of the whole year (if its a good year), and all the other movies are horrible.

maybe, I've just become a really harsh critic now too, but there hasn't been an epic movie in a long long time, all of the "blockbuster's" are almost always flops, so disappointing.

..sighs..

(we need anime series made into movie series, hehe. pfft, if we can do ten years of 10 harry potter movies than I want the american movie industry to buy/get the rights from the animes/manga, and make them into movies, hehe )

Like. . . Dragon Ball? I'm really worried about this Akira movie, and Cowboy Bebop, if they're ever gonna turn into reality.

DBZ... omg, what crap, it was like totally nothing to do with DBZ... made it like into a lame "teenage boy grows up"... ugnh!

like a really well done Claymore series of movies with live actors (surely we can find blondes to match up hehe) and with CG, it can certainly be done (albiet it'd probably be hella of an expensive movie series to make, lol)

it wasn't good but it wasn't awful, and it wasn't weird, like the 3rd one was, lol.

I thought the 3rd pirates did a... so-so job. I loved Pirates because of Jack Sparrow, and in the 3rd movie his role was pushed back for this super long dragged-out story.

Like the same feeling I got with Transformers 2, I guess. Wait, Transformers 2 was way way worse. >.>

I thought both transformers were awful, ya, the CG is cool seeing them transform and do all the action and fight stuff, but that's it to the movie... and staring at... the girl... Megan Fox? can't remember who the actress was, meh. (oh wow I was right, hehe, just looked it up, lol)

I love Tranformers exactly because how ridiculous and bad they are. The unintented comedic value is so damn high. Seems like their only goal is just come up with a bigger and meaner and more ridiculous robot for each sequel. And the "plot" is soo plain stupid. Shia LaBeouf is pretty much a joke.

Talking about silly films I wonder about the Green Lantern. Never read the comics, they those never had a breakthorough here. Of course I might wrong, and it could actually be cool or good but... When I went to see Pirates, me and my friends laughed more to the trailer of that film than to Pirates. And not because the jokes in the trailer were funny...

Batman 1 (the old one, with Val Kilmer, and Jack Nickolas. It was pretty good at the time)

Conan the Barbarian (1-?) (the old ones, though I'm not sure if it was a comic, but I think it is, lol)

Batman Begins (1) and (Batman) The Dark Knight (2)

Spiderman 1 and 2

Hulk (1)

Ironman (1)

Blade 1 and 2 (if this was a comic-I think it is, lol)

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Highlander (if this was a comic-I think it is, lol)

Red (I think this was a comic)

Sin City (if this was a comic - I guess it was, lol)

The Punisher (1)

Spawn

The League of Extroardinary Gentlemen (not sure if this was a comic, but it "probably" is)

V for Vendetta (I have no idea if this is a comic or not, so maybe it doesn't belong here)

Watchmen (I presume this is a comic, lol, but I'm not sure)

X-Men (1 and 2)

I thought Scott Pilgrim was pretty loyal to the comic, except for the very last. And that it dragged a bit. It was good watching it for the first time since Scott Pilgrim always had that effect of catching you off guard. But watching it the 2nd time, and realizing that its more than 2 hours, ruins everything. :/

I thought the exact other way around actually.. I'd just finished reading the comic for the first time (all 6 volumes in like two days) the day before I watched the movie, so all I could think about was how much I was missing from the comic and how Michael Cera could NOT PLAY SCOTT PILGRIM GAH BAHG HHHSDG.

But the second time I watched it, which was like 4 months later, I had an easier time seeing it as something separate and not compare everything to the source material. So second time I actually thought the movie was really good, as opposed to just "kinda good" as I felt the first time.

- Kick-Ass
- Scott Pilgrim vs. the world
- A History of Violence
- Watchmen
- Hellboy I&II
- The Crow
- Burtons Batmans
- 300
- Road to Perdition

That is suprisingly many. And I'd like to specially pick up V for Vendetta and History of violence. Both are exelently thought provoking imho.

Kick-Ass I liked too, this is a comic? I thought it was just a parady of the popular trend of comic movies.

A History of Violence was a comic? never saw that coming, lol. But, I definately liked it hehe.

Hellboy was awful for me, ughn...

oooo I didn't know The Crow was a comic! I loved that movie (Crow 1) !!!

300 was a comic.. ??? (well, if it is, I certainly liked it, hehe)

Also, HegemonKhan... Which Batman movie do you mean? Because I presume you mean Tim Burton's Batman from 1989, with Jack Nicholson playing The Joker. But that's not Val Kilmer playing Batman, that's Michael Keaton (the best Batman ever, not counting Kevin Conroy who did the voice for the animated stuff). Val Kilmer was in Batman Forever, which really wasn't that good... Jim Carrey's riddler.
