Hosoda is great. While I did not really like Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and found Summer Wars mostly just entertaining, Wolf Children Ame and Yuki was pretty incredible piece in my opinion. It managed to deliver the unique visuality of Hosoda with a story that still had depth, yet was easy to follow and made sense to me.

I loved Wolf Children too. I haven't actually had the time to watch Girl who Leapt through Time.

What I watched recently aside from Wolf Children though (and when I say recently, I mean- within the year...) is Garden of Words or Kotonoha no Niwa. Breath-taking. Gorgeous. Eye Candy Subtle and mild. If that's your cup of tea. No extensive plot or climax either. Something like 5 centimeters per second. But Garden of Words wasn't sad or anything. It actually was a bit of hopeful and ended in that tone.

I really like the dark and gritty tone of new Godzilla trailer. Furthermore, Bryan Cranston is starring in this film. They should just take my money right now!

Well, I believe this film will thrive in the box office off star power alone. The guy from Kick Ass is the main protagonist. If this film does reasonably well upon release, I expect we'll see more sequels. For me, I'm not too much interested in watching the actual creature destroy cities. I care more about the actors who will be driving the storyline. The tone of the trailer indicates this film will take itself very seriously unlike it's predecessor, so this may help bring in viewers who were disappointed by ridiculousness of the remake released back in the 90's.

Anyone who does not mind watching subtitled movies, i recommend the Korean movie "New World". It does not reinvent the "Undercover Cop" thriller genre but it´s one of the best of its kind.

Yeps, I saw it yesterday. Second half is great. All scenes with the dragon are amazing. The dragon doesn't dissapoint and could match my high expectations.
For the first half, I liked it as well but I had one problem: elves are as strong as an army of terminators. Dwarves are looklng like fools when you see how strong elves are. It's not only Legolas. Tauriel is a killing machine as well. At some point, you get the feeling that Legolas & Tauriel could kill everyone in Mordor on their own ... Legolas was already strong in the lord of the rings but the elves in the hobbit are just overkill.

That movie was so hilarious!!!

I felt a little old watching this movie. It's about a new generation of actors that I barely know. Aside from James Franco, I don't know the other main actors very well. Still, congratz to channing tatum for his cameo. There aren't that many "dreamboys for teenage girl" who are playing with their image like that.

For the rest, I'm just not that receptive to Seth Rogen's universe. But the movie was still entertaining.

I'm going to see captain phillips tomorrow & maybe the new di caprio next weekend. I want to see lots of movies for the moment.

I just watched Desolation of Smaug.

loved Bilbo, as always. and the movie somehow had that sort of 80s sci-fi feel to it, a nostalgic feel. Especially when the title came up, lol.
