Saw Don Jon. It was good, I liked it. Funny, but somewhat lewd. I thought JGL was a perv or something, but I'd still turn gay for him.

Tried watching Her and the first ten minutes... I don't know, maybe there was a kid playing in the room so I couldn't concentrate but, i decided not to finish the movie *for now*.

I am not sure I can actually picture that guy as luthor. I mean, luthor is usually at least at some level intimidating.... Big evil looking bald dude... For me a big part of the issue is that I am not sure if he is actually a good actor though. Doesn't he usually play the same kind of characters through his movies? I mean, his roles usually revolve around being an awkward dude. I guess he did do the facebook but playing the awkward dude with asperger (not that the actual suckerberg has asperger or anything though) is not really that far from what he usually does. Its the same thing but angrier and more sass (according to movies anyways). In the end we are talking about a guy who usually plays himself through all his movies having to play a completely different character. Unless his take (or zack snider's) on luthor is that he is an awkward dude with asperger with (plotwist) a god complex.

Ah, I see. Well, the trailer seemed to call him Frankenstein. Perhaps that was to appeal to the masses. Also, why is it called I, Frankenstein then? Sounds confusing and like it can't make up its mind.

On second thought, you don't need to answer anything. I would hate to make you relive what was most likely a completely shitty experience.

Just watched 3 ninjas again and I was impressed. As ground breaking as it was in my childhood. One of the best East meets West martial art films out there. Highly recommended.

Justice League: WAR is out today and I just watched it. Pretty awesome addition to the DC Animated Universe collection. The opening credits were graced by Jim Lee's outstanding pencil works.

Highly recommend it.

I watched Ender's Game today. I totally loved it. I thought it would be action with no essence, with barely alright plot sort of movie. I was wrong.

Well, Jesse was pretty good in Now You See Me. Didn't play the awkward dude at all, he was pretty good as a good talker. Had that confidence and everything.

Just got to see these films:

1. Gravity - okay movie. not much of a plot and generally, this was more about visual experience. And that's where the film was it's strongest. Don't see what the Oscar hype is all about though as far as the actors go.

2. Old Boy - Nothing compared to the original film of 2003 or the manga itself, however, there is some subtle differences. This reminds me of what David Fincher did with "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". If you've seen the original first, your not really going to enjoy the remake.

3. Thor: The Dark World - Wasn't the best sequel at all and the story was so, so. I think, honestly, this was more about the showcasing Loki, since, everyone is gaga over Tom Hiddleston right now. Best part of the movie, honestly, was the very end, where we get introduced to the Collector played by Benico Del Tero.

4. Justice League: WAR - Another great follow up to the previous JLA animated features. This one film is suppose to restart the entire DC Animated Universe. The animation quality was decent compared to "The Flashpoint Paradox". And the opening featuring pencil work by famous comic artist, Jim Lee, was pretty sweet too.

5. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Not much of a difference from the previous film. Same scenario, different situation and new characters. The film finally starts to pick up towards the end, which to me, was a let down. Movie was as entertaining as it's predecessor.

6. The Counselor - Another let down by Ridley Scott and the casting didn't help either. The story was all over the place and at one point, your wondering what exactly is the hell going on. Whatever.

i know I'm late but i just watched the Wolf of Wall Street. Entertaining 3 hours. I know some people didn't think Jonah Hill deserved an award for that movie- and I don't really know if he ought to have gotten nominations for it (which I think he did?)- but I thought his performance was something most definitely improved compared to his earlier films. I think that was good development for him as an actor- to have worked with Leo alone ought to have matured the shit out of him.

Just because he mostly played in comedies doesn't mean he wasn't capable of acting in dramatic roles. I don't really understand your point, considering that film is pretty immature in general. Plenty of comedy to it. A better example would have been him starring with Brad Pitt in Moneyball, which he also received nominations for.

Wolf on Wallstreet was the first movie in a long time that didn't make me want to strangle Jonah Hill so I think he did a good job. Pleasantly surprised.

Saw Vertigo last night. Brilliant film. I could spoil myself so hard and still be tense.
