Hmm... is anyone else totally anticipating the release of TRANSFORMERS!? IMO, it's going to be freaking amazing. I hope that's not just me...

i read the script and i really think its gonna be a good movie... when i first heard they were gonna make a tranformers feature film my reaction was kinda like this: WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???????? WHAAAAAAT???? NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

but now im psyched! thing is, they actually manages to make it look cool. and thats VERY important in a movie like that. if the robots were as geeky as they are in the comic/cartoon then it would just be pathetic. but it seems they bring the story alive very well.
july 4, here i come.

although i hope it will get deilivered to the cinema before... then i can have a private preview

but lets be frank, the movies sucks Pat Morita is the only thing worth mentioning in his Yoda like sensei role as Mister Miyagi. brilliant performance, and dont forget: a man that can catch fly with chopsticks can do anything!

I freaking loved those movies!! No matter how cheesy they are, I will always love them. When I wash my car, I still think 'wax on, wax off'. Even though I don't actually wax it

Wow. I was planning on seeing Transformers...until I read your post. I watched the show as a kid and had the Megatron toy, which was definetly a gun (Walther P38, if I remember correclty).

However, I've considered the points you've made in your argument, and now I may reconsider. What did they make Bumble Bee, if he's not a VW Beetle?

Bumble Bee is a camaro because volkswagen did not want to be associated with war. real or fictional. theyve had enough of that stuff in their history.
so he became a camaro cause vW said no, not the other way around.

the megatron becomes a gun thing is another issue they had to make a decision about, and they choose to have no changing in mass in the movie. so thats why he still has his cybertronian attack jet. while the other robots have assimilated a human vehicle. there is a reason why Megatron hasnt and its VERY cool.

not supposed to have mouths?? Megatron has a face just like a human, so does starscream bumblebee and so on and so forth.. so i dont know what youre talking about.

@change in mass- its the friggin transformers man! they're not supposed to be realistic...i guess this is the same reason to why they don't have soundwave...

@VW saying no- thats acceptible... but they could have gotten a similarly small machine...afterall bumblebee is supposed to be the smallest autobot...

well thats a choice you have to take when you make a movie based on someting already existing.
should we only make the fans happy or should we try to make the movie appealing to a bigger audience?
and they chose the bigger audience

I think there could be a mass changing autobot or decepticon. If i'm not mistaken, one of the bot is a CD Player. I would love to have an aoutobot that can transform into a vacuum cleaner or a laundry machine.

In a live webcast televised on Yahoo.com, scriptwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman confirmed that Frenzy will be appearing in the upcoming live-action Transformers movie. He will be taking on the stealth spy role originally intended for Soundwave, stating that the character had evolved too far from being Soundwave.[1] According to an early script, he is rumoured to be a spy aboard Air Force One. Recent CG images of Frenzy in this film have portrayed him as being very thin, with a body covered in spikes. [2] The scene on Air Force One seems to be true, as Frenzy is briefly shown on what appears to be an aeroplane in a TV Spot, (he was smaller than the other Decepticons, about 5 ft tall). In the official comic adaption of the movie, Frenzy is shown as a silver boombox, with round speakers and blue diode-lights. His ranged weapon consists of shuriken like CDs.

oh, come on now, that movie was my childhood! It wasn't that bad, was it?! Unless you're talking about the newer stuff, Beastwars or whatever

I would prefer Bumblebee to be a VW, too, but I'm still going to see the movie...if it's really awful, I'll just go home, cry, and watch the old movie, and cry about Optimus Prime instead
